Just finished SH4 and got the Escape ending, which never happens (I usually end with Eileen's Death). And I too, have trouble keeping Eileen safe and un-possessed. This go-round, I made it through to the Water-Prison 2nd Pass without any sign of her becoming possessed, but when I got to the Building...

Wow, this review was just... Wow. "Cheap scares"? Really? As many times as I've played this game, it still gives me chills. As far as the controls go, they may not be perfect but they're not frustrating like other games. And for the "apartment level" nonsense - sure, it's a stop ...

I never thought they could do that. I'm currently doing a playthrough of the game and will definitely keep my eyes open for it.

Oh, that's right... I completely forgot that about that. I turned the sound off in my Wiimotes when I moved into an apartment complex, well I'll turn the sound back on since I'm not there anymore
Where are the settings to make the sound come from the tv, out of curiosity?

It's been forever since I've played the game so I dug it out and loaded it to start a new game. Everything's going great until I get the phone and I get my first call, voicemail, etc... I can't hear a thing! I can hear Harry and the background location noises, but nothing with the phone. :? I've tur...

The pic at the top of this thread is from the NTSC PS2 version. I recently got a Wii and this game and the Wii version seems to be clearer on details on signs and mementos and stuff and what Dark Shadow has posted is correct, the sign is much clearer in this copy... I think the signs a little lower....

Richard, IMO is the worse ghost victim in the game. He is kinda creepy at first but then the spazzing and flicker gets really annoying. Unlike the other ghosts, he doesn't have to slowly climb through the walls, he is either just in the room you enter or pops in randomly, so there is no warning tha...

Same here lol... No matter how hard I try to get the Bad Ending, it always winds up being good. I think on my save file, I'm on a 4th playthrough in the beginning with the Heather Beam recently unlocked... I guess I'll try for UFO and then try for Bad Ending once again lol

I would say no on a remake, we already know everything about Harry that we need to. I mean, it's part of this series' nature to give us very little info, just what's needed, and interpret events or anything else the way we see fit.

But at any rate, a direct sequel to SH3 would've been kind of like SH:SM (with some obvious factual and storyline differences).

I personally don't think this game is killing the series. I liked it because it brought some new things to the table, and it's fresh. I still like the older titles because they're classic and they're wonderful and all... But with the new games they're trying to do some different things, hoping to ge...

I've always noticed this on playthroughs... I'm not really creeped out by it but I have always thought it's a little weird.

I personally haven't played SH4 much recently, but I don't remember having a real problem with this world other than Richard in the beginning lol, he's so hard to beat sometimes!

~shrugs shoulders~ I doesn't know... This game's always had me puzzled as to why I don't like the actual game, but I do the storyline.
