Re: Here it is guys! OFFICIAL Silent Hill: Revelation TRAILE
The role was not recast. Radha Mitchell does indeed play Rose in Revelation. Hallelujer! As for the Alessa/Jodelle stuff: I think she fit the role of Alessa perfectly, but that she'd clash with the game's image of Heather. I think Adelaide has the right look of 'regular girl with some edge' to her....

Re: Here it is guys! OFFICIAL Silent Hill: Revelation TRAILE
No trailer is ever complete without a "Go to hell!" and a scream-like-a-girl-cut-to-black-moment. That aside, I'm curious to see how this film manages to connect itself with the previous film as this feels completely different (which is its intention, but all the same I betting you could w...

Soundtrack and Envrionment
Hey guys, I'm wondering something. I was playing the police station level in Homecoming when I noticed something weird happened with the audio. Whenever I entered a room the music would suddenly become muffled, but the moment I stepped out it became clearer as if I entered the room where someone was...

Re: Monster / Character / Location Symbolism
Was there a viable chance for Murphy to save Frank from Sewell without getting bludgeoned to death, though?

Re: How would you guys feel about co-op?
I'm all for co-op to be honest with you; I've never understood the argument that "co op in horror/survival equals = bah, its not scary anymore" (I think that just means the game was never "scary" to begin with and thus the "scare factor" was largely a construct of your ...

Re: Homecoming vs Downpour
I don't hate Downpour , but playing the game and reaching its conclusion is like being teased with a candy bar with half its wrapping pulled from it's body. You know there's more behind it, but you never get to see it because the entire mechanic is to simply tease you. It had great ideas and concept...

Re: Downpour Cons ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
Vosk21 reminds me of another YouTube user circa 2006/2007 that did walkthroughs for Silent Hill 2 and 3 and decided outright that he was going to denounce Silent Hill: Homecoming before he even played it and sparked a bunch "RE: About Silent Hill Homecoming" responses from people who eith...

Re: Monster / Character / Location Symbolism
There's no doubting that the biggest disappointment about Downpour was its monsters. They either too forward with what they represent or so extremely vague and misplaced that they could be enemies from any number of games, survival horror or otherwise noted. It's a serious point of disconnect for me...

Re: There's no such thing as stupid questions ... Downpour F
Does the game or its promotional material ever give specifics about: #When Charlie is abducted and killed #How long Murphy's been in prison #How long its been since Sewell attacked and incapacitated Frank when Murphy refused to do him in? The way Anne described it to Murphy gave me the impression it...

Re: Humorous/Funny Parts
Don't ask me why, but the moment DJ Ricks' place is attacked... the flashing lights combined with screaming elicited laughter, especially when Murphy stands up and he's the only person in the room and I can't figure out why. Me and my sister looked at each other when Murphy was like NOOO when he fou...

Re: Anyone ok with Vatra doing another Silent Hill?
Honestly? No, I wouldn't. I'd rather a another developer/company take a crack at the Silent Hill franchise and see what they can do with it. I enjoyed Homecoming and I liked what they did with the Murphy and Anne characters in Downpour, but there was much to be desired from the game in its entirety ...

Re: Which Ending Was Your Favorite? *SPOILERS AHEAD*
"Truth and Justice" was undoubtedly my favorite ending, primarily because it shifts the focus on Anne and confronting Sewell. I'm just disappointed they left it hanging like they did.

Am I the only one who thought of Rogery Avery when I saw the Jail-Bird? ...Yeah, just me? Okay. I consider Sean Bean and his awkward American accent a good thing from the movie too  I declare, Sean Bean is probably the only British actor I'd rather not hear with a flat American accent. It just...

I wonder what Paul W. S. Anderson would do with it if he were director? Who knows? Paul W.S. Anderson proved himself pretty capable in the horror genre with Event Horizon , if that truly counts as a horror film. I think if he took a crack @ Silent Hill , it wouldn't be half as bad as most people wo...

Well, that explains their boobies (besides, you know, that tight fitting outfit they happen to wear). Perhaps the Impregnated Nurses represent the hardship of Lillian's pregnancy with Josh (assuming she had any complications with her last baby. The game seems to imply strongly toward it if memory se...
