Re: Rough Graphics?

If you had the actual game disc and then used Smoothing, it'd look better. I had the same issue with a PSOne game I'm playing now on the PS3; when I first put it into the system and saw what it looked like I was like, "WTF?" but with smoothing it looks like I'm playing it on a PSX/PS2.

Re: Japan Release

Japan DOES have a problem with extreme violence in media. Recently, that is. Just compare the American and Japanese versions of Resident Evil 4.

I've never touched Homecoming, but from what I've read overall, it's not really Japan's loss.

I want it to be scrapped and have Konami focus on other series.

Re: Personal Reflections on BoM?

Not interested. I don't hate it, but it doesn't look that appealing to me at all. And I don't like playing games with other people (with one exception).

Re: Interview with Troy Baker - The new James Sunderland

The only one I really liked was Angela's (can't comment on SH3 since I never played it). She sounded so exhausted and world-weary...

Personally, I'm happy to get people who've been doing voice acting for a long-ass time. Troy Baker has quite an impressive resume, as does Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.

Re: Interview with Troy Baker - The new James Sunderland

No worries, I'm moving on. But I do agree with you when you say Troy's better, and SH 4 should be in the collection no matter what the fanbase says. It certainly doesn't hurt the collection or anything.

Re: Interview with Troy Baker - The new James Sunderland

Looks like nostalgia goggles are clouding up the visions of most. Well, when it comes to someone completely misinterpreting what you say in the harshest manner possible and then telling you to learn some manners when if you look at their posting history- they're in no position to say such a thing (a...

Aerith Gainsborough wrote:WHOA! I did NOT know he did the voice of Snow. My respect for him just went through the roof, people.
He also voiced Kanji Tatsumi and Yuri Lowell - latter being one of the coolest heroes I've ever seen. For me, at least, Troy Baker is a keeper.

Re: Interview with Troy Baker - The new James Sunderland

Troy Baker has one of the finest voices in the voice acting business. Guy Cihi, in the meantime, doesn't even have a page on TV Tropes.

I think it should've been extremely obvious that we're getting someone really good here.

Re: Is 'Homecoming' anyone's favourite Silent Hill game?

That's all well and good, but I highly doubt that a lot of the symbolism from past games was something that just happened to fall into place thanks to the Mystic Symbolism Elves of Storylandia.

Either way, how would Homecoming be BETTER in that department? Makes little sense to me.

Re: Is 'Homecoming' anyone's favourite Silent Hill game?

And since the vast majority of Hollywood-style horror is unimaginative and flat, I guess it's not so bad that I haven't played the game after all.

Re: Is 'Homecoming' anyone's favourite Silent Hill game?

And especially because I think a lot of the symbolism in previous SH games isn't really, eh, intentional, I give this game a lot of merit here. So all of the symbolism that's been pointed out from the previous games is simply coincidence? If I were the Japanese developers, I'd be pretty offended. W...

Different isn't necessarily bad, though, is it?

If the man himself is tired of the series, then there's no reason for him to be a part of it.

Re: 10 Best Written Video Games

Instead of looking for ICO and SotC in stores, just wait for the HD collection...assuming you have a PS3. Besides, you won't find the former in stores.

Actually, it did happen. Pay attention to the scene again.

Overall, the list is somewhat of a joke.

Bioware deserves bashing - and I've done so maybe...I dunno...ten times? Maybe?

Eh, whatever. Guess it's not so surprising.
