If they could temper the action down, I'd give them another shot. They did the environments very well for the most part, but also a bit too showy for the otherworld sequences. No more theme park ride style crap. Just stick to the atmosphere.

The part where a prisoner monster appears with two others on dog leashes seemed like a pretty 'jumping the shark' moment for silent hill to me.

Downpour is looking better, but for the life of me I can't see where Book of Memories fits into the Silent Hill world.

I still don't like the flashing objects, they said they don't want to ruin immersion but, meh. Otherwise I do think this looks alot better than the earlier stuff, possibly since they seem to have restricted the field of vision more. But it feels more like SIlent Hill for sure.
