Re: Konami ceases triple-A console production on all but PES

Messed up part is as much as we don't like them for how they've been fucking things up, they're still probably gonna make a good amount money from mobile gaming.. I dunno, the mobile market doesn' t seem big on brand recognition or fidelity. Wouldn' t it be a pity if that move left some phantom pai...

Re: What does View Mode (in Extra Options) mean?

I assume the alternative to "switch" would be "hold" ? I' d pick switch. Meaning one press of the camera button will switch between first and third person, as opposed to having to hold the button down to remain in first person.

Re: Reserving all opinion until a true demo.

Most actual demos have that kind of message as well, it' s just written tiny, somewhere in that wall of text no one ever reads. They put it here for the same reason most movies warn you any resemblance to actually facts would be purely coincidental : to make sure they won' t be found guilty if you t...

Re: Silent Hill in First Person

It's not the same without a character on the screen, there's nothing to connect to, and I hate the way movement usually feels in 1st person games. By the way, since you keep mentioning the floaty camera feeling it gives you, I noticed something weird : when you strafe to the left the camera stays s...

Re: New main character picture from P.T. website

I don't know if anyone has noticed it yet, but the main character seems to wear the same kind of jacket as the main character in P.T. (just stand in front of the bathroom mirror and you know what I mean) So does this mean that they are more interrelated than it has been proposed earlier by the deve...

Re: P.T. Final Loop - an actual solution?!

Saying Jarith definitely works. I just tried it several times and it worked every time. But now the problem is that the first laugh where you walk 10 steps after the clock strikes midnight will no longer trigger. I've had this problem during the last few times I've started the game to attempt to ge...

Re: P.T. Final Loop - an actual solution?!

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything online related to Jarith being an angel's name or having anything to do with demonology, but it was admittedly just a quick search. I had to stifle a laugh when he whispered it, because I couldn't stop thinking of David Bowie's character (Jareth) from...

Re: P.T. Final Loop - an actual solution?!

Worked for me on the very first try. I didn' t even have to track Lisa, waiting near the clock for the bells to ring triggers the bathroom haunting, so as soon as I got the first laugh I walked a few more steps to the mirror and whispered Jarith three times. Bam, second laugh. For the record before ...

- I hate having to keep R3 or L3 pressed, especially if you expect me to move them around at the same time. Just ... no. - That final puzzle. Still haven' t gotten past it, even after reading every update as to what worked for X or Y. I can' t shake the feeling maybe I should have collected the phot...

Re: Barbed wire symbolism in climax sequence

Gans thought the censors were going to be harsh with the sequence as it is now anyway, so I doubt that' s the reason. I mean once you' ve shown barbwire entering genitalia adding barbwire exiting genitalia can' t make it worse than it already is, can it ? I assume it just comes from the CG team, who...

Re: Third movie, new story?

But did any of those change the main characters and thus the conflict? I don't know anything as radical as splitting Dahlia into film Dahlia and Christabella. I' ve only read Planet of the Apes and The Shining myself. PotA did change the hero' s name (and gave him companions). Some of its changes a...

Re: Third movie, new story?

^ I think you meant FFVI. Although I understand why fans would bitch about these or those changes at the end of the day you have to step back, forget the games even exist for a second and ask yourself if the movie stands on its own. Most Disney classics and, say, Blade Runner, Total Recall, The Exor...

Re: Third movie, new story?

^ They were talking about Revelations not about the first movie. Although I and the people who watched the first movie with me were confused about a few details at least we got the gist of it. Can' t say the same about the game, I had no clue what the fuck I just watched (getting the bad - ending di...

Re: Is Downpour scary?

I finally played it a few weeks ago. It turned out to be a lot better than I expected. I can count the places that genuinely creeped me out on the fingers of one hand, but then it' s hard to creep me out. SH 1 to 4 creeped me more, however none of the more recent games trully did. I just thought the...

Re: Shortcut to Cynthia's alternate costume?

I think you can just load an old file and aim for a different ending. If memory serves that' s what I did. I' m not 100% sure, but checking for yourself if that works shouldn' t take long (the end game stats screen tells you how many endings are considered obtained). If you kept a good + pre-walter ...

I' m one of the guys who voted for gameplay over story in your other thread (it was yours right ?) so hopefully you won' t label me in a neat little box, but I agree with Tillerman, Homecoming' s combat was horrendous. As for Shattered Memories, lol. I always stocked up ammo in the old games, keepin...

Re: Supernatural Similarities

The haircut, clothing and 'Murica attitude sorta match, but not his face or his voice. Same goes for Travis, though his clothes are a better match and his beard hides the facial discrepencies.

If memory serves I did notice the Bobby vibe when I played the game, but not the Dean vibe.

In case no one is willing to indulge you (I just can' t), if you have a PS3 you might find what you want here, or the next best thing at least.

I' m not sure NTSC save files can be used on a PAL version, but hey, it' s worth a shot.

Re: a big difference between easy and normal

The chainsaw sucks big time as a weapon. Not just in SH4 mind you, it' s lousy in every SH that has one. If you plan to play on hard later on then you should try to get the hang of the invincibility trick right now : when using a blunt weapon you can charge attacks by holding the action button. When...

^ I understand why we got more stuff for the first movie, what with Gans being French and half of the bonus material being spoken either in French or bad English, but why we also get more stuff for Revelations is beyond me. Maybe because the first one sold very well for a French BR, thanks to its ex...
