No really, I rarely type "LOL" but you literally made me laugh out loud. Congrats.Sith_Dreamer wrote:Maybe it'll be 90 minutes of Bassett apologizing.

Re: Why did you like it? (or not)
I guess I'm just much more judgmental to the movie than you guys, might have something to do with me not playing SH3 yet. I certainly wasn't all that entertained, though my friends who have played a few SH games loved the later game references.

Re: Why did you like it? (or not)
I wish I could say the same about Revelation's since 95% of the monsters in it are originals That explains alot, the CGI was terrible and made the whole movie seem goofy. I don't know if the spider was supposed to represent anything, but frankly, it was turning my biggest turn off in the trailer( t...

Re: Why did you like it? (or not)
That's a great review and you hit some of the good points of that movie. Say, what is it that you'd say the janitor represents and which scenes does he do it the most? Well...the janitor only has one scene. As for what he represents: I found it pretty creepy how he emerged from the bathroom stall, ...

Re: Why did you like it? (or not)
I'm very new to this series, to put it simply, I finished my first playthrough of SH1(my first SH game), watch this movie, and saw the sequel on opening day all in the same week. I loved this movie, after playing the game I found it had everything I would want from a film adaption: It entertained th...

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
I thought when you said "Ninja turtles lied to us" you were emphasizing how sewers don't work that way and using it as proof for your "sewers were recreated" bit. I apologize if this wasn't the case.Brispir wrote:I made a Ninja Turtles reference didn't I?

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
Have you ever heard of an "absurdly spacious sewer"? Videogames specifically are big on designing highly exaggerative sewers for small areas. Something tells me the intention of the developers wasn't that the sewers were recreated. I've haven't played the sequels so my knowledge is limited...

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
And anyway, since Alessa is supposed to have "powers," it's easy to imagine that she could see places she has never been to. So the sewers could easily be an accurate representation of Silent Hill's sewer system even if Alessa had never been there. As my sig will no doubt inform you, I'm ...

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
The idea that blocked areas of silent hill=places Alessa's never been seems far fetched in my opinion. Some of the paths Alessa would have to take just don't make much sense. For example, navigating through Central Silent hill requires Harry to use two specific houses like bridges. This would mean A...

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
Also, if the jewellery shop is indeed close to Dahlia's antique store (been a while since I've played. I just recall that it's in the mall area), then there's a chance that she looked through the windows while on the way there (with or without Dahlia). Well, to be fair, Alessa would have to enter t...

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
it doesn't seem likely that Dahlia is taking her to the mall on many shopping trips. You know this actually makes me wonder. Has Alessa even seen all of Silent Hill? She was a seven year old with a mom who probably wouldn't take her anywhere. Is the resort area alien to her? She might be doing just...

Re: Schrödinger's cat (Related to SH1?)
Wait, the cat is dead in the otherworld? When I open that locker it's an empty blood spattered cabinet, and since blood is seen throughout the game I don't assume it belongs to the cat. Will you actually see the cat's corpse if you don't free it in " normal" Midwitch? This is a great theor...

Fair enough. If it can be connected to the Order, it's probaly relevant to Alessa's life

Re: Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
Are you referring to the five relics in Nowhere, or what you could buy in the actual Jewelry shop? I doubt the later could be true. The Adversary wrote:I'm sure the relics and artifacts are all centuries old, handed down from when the Order first began.

Alessa and the Jewelry shop?
As far as I can tell, Nowhere is a compilation of Alessa's trauma. This is why the bulk of it is the hospital, and it's supplemented by Alessa's classroom, the antique shop that houses a church, a church altair, her house...and the Jewelry shop from the town center? Can anyone tell me what the signi...

Re: Which ending do you prefer?
Well, as far as just the ending, I prefer the good ending because it illustrates how Harry got out of Silent hill with reborn Alessa, without Cybil following behind him in a really awkward manner( he doesn't even acknowledge her till the FMV). Still, I consider myself lucky to have gotten the Bad + ...
