Re: Cons! What the teaser could have done better! ಠ益à²
It's been a very long time since I've even thought about posting on here. This demo has certainly piqued my interest. I've only been able to see it through YouTube play through videos. So far, I see the good, the bad and a little of the ugly. I would have preferred more visually "ugly" thi...

Supernatural Similarities
Hey guys, long, long time no see.
This is going to be brief because I'm writing it on my phone:
Is anyone on here a fan of the CW television show, Supernatural? Well, Alex Sheppard and Dean Winchester have a strikingly similar apppearance.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: First Puzzle on Hard
I remember way back when, when I played SH3 (my first SH game) I had no access to internet or any form of help. I believe I played it on "normal." I have a notebook full of my notes on each puzzle which would literally take me hours to solve. I even documented my rage-quits. The puzzles we...

I don't know about you guys but I'm really, severely pissed off that she's not wearing the Princess Heart Costume.

Re: Silent Hill Sounds Box
I am so drooling over this right now. But honestly... I don't need to buy them because... Well, you can probably guess. I've already bought 1-4 and the rest can be 'heard' around the internet. The only reason I would even consider buying this would be for the box art. The long version of "Lost ...

Re: Akira wants to compose SHR soundtrack
I'm honestly relieved to hear that Yamaoka is interested. Even if some people (see: Tom) aren't pleased that he might be making the music, let me say that, hopefully, the film will have more of a SH "feel" if the music is playing behind the images. Who knows if this movie will be any good ...

So now were back to being serious? This thread is so confusing. I was just trying to goad someone into talking about the topic. Guess it worked, huh?

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
>It's because Silent Hill: Homecoming is basically a Saw crossover. Yep. What with the whole scene involving Lillian, and all. Ah! We can include that in the discussion. Do you think that killing miners and parents are related? Jeez, Alex is more of a murderer than James and he wasn't half as bother...

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
Why has this turned into a Gandhi / Hitler / Final Fantasy thread? Were talking about Silent Hill 5 and the designer's decision to include humans in the monster roster. At least TRY to tie it back into the original topic. lol And for the record, I'm a pacifist... Alex Shepard is not. (See what I did...

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
You know, the more that I think about it... maybe Double Helix Just got too lazy to make up with a proper monster design and coped out with humans.

Or it just made it easier for Alex to wear the Miner costume for sneaking in?

As a side note, am I the only one who thought of Chileans when I saw the topic title? :P Rofl Oh wow. I didn't even think of that when I started this thread! Now it's just funny to me. I rather enjoyed hunting down and exterminating the Order Soldiers. It was only long after I'd finished that I tho...

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
Like Fevered Dream says, I suppose these guys don't have to be disguised as monsters because they simply are monsters on their own.
Even with that said, I don't think it was a wise choice to add people to the "monster" roster.

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
>If Double Helix wanted to include human "monsters," the monsters should have been transfigured, too, accordingly. So you're saying that it would have been better suited for you if the people were more like the demon doctors and nurses from SH1? I'm not really sure what you mean. Most of t...

They're just grunts. John-Doe's. -sniffle- I tell you! They're people, too! ...Teeple poo.. :P Well, hopefully some other people will have something to say about this (not that your input isn't valuable). Just because the game designers didn't mean for there to be a deeper meaning doesn't mean the ...

Come on! It's SH! They've taught us to look deeper over the years. DoubleHelix disappoints me.

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
What? Are you forgetting about the UFO endings? Obviously, the UFO endings are meant to make you laugh and are not apart of normal gameplay. And yes, it's fun to kill people in videogames (for instance Uncharted 1&2) but I've seen SH series as something different. You kill dogs, disfigured mons...

Re: Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
So it's fun to kill people? Am I the only one who is bothered by this? I was always under the impression that, Silent Hill being the serious game that it is, almost every new development and new theme introduced is something to take note of. For them to add humans to your hit-list is kinda huge. Or ...

Miners Are People, Too (Spoilers?)
So, this been bothering me ever since I played the game a few years back (my first and only play-through) and I searched the SH5 forums to make sure I wasn't making an necessary new thread, please correct me kindly if I am wrong. This is a topic that I think could use some in-depth discussion: - Hom...

Re: Do we want the siren back?
I would love the siren back, preferably the SH2 version. I think it might be more relevant to the story and to Murphy, the new protagonist because of his PRISON back story. Also, on that note, will see Toluca Prison again? 8D
