There may be some correlation, but the nurses are similar to the SH2. The scrapers may actually be humans distorted by Heather, just as the Missionary boss that the look like was.

Who wrote vanity ruin?

I love the poem/lyrics that are in Walk in VAnity Ruin, and am curious who wrote it. I know Yamaoka did the music, but did he also write the words to that? Also, is there a correct title to the work?

There is no Alessa anymore though. Heather may have some of her memories, but she is a completely separate person.

Add-on

One vengeful man spilled blood for two; Harry killed the cult members in vengeance for Cheryl and Alessa. Two youths shed tears for three; The misery of Cheryl and Alessa created the third, Heather. Three witches disappeared thusly; Dahlia, Alessa, and Cheryl. At first I though Claudia, but she had...

There are other references to SH2 all throughout SH3. I think it's pretty probable.

I don't think it's actually a poem by Shakespeare, but modeled after it.

The Characters of Vanity Ruins *spoilers

I have been looking over the poem contained in Walk in Vanity Ruins and, although I've read some opinions that it references several Shakespeare plays, and it very well may, I think it may also be a reference to the events of Silent Hill 2 as well. In here is a tragedy --- art thou player or audienc...

Can anyone find this?

I am wondering if any has that picture of Heather from the save screen in SH3, but without all the text and the Halo over it? It might not even exist that way, but I am looking for it.

Yes, especially in the beginning sequence when Rose is chasing Sharon's appartion through the alleys, they did a great job of making it look like when HArry did it.

Alternate Theory on PH

Another discussion has brought up the man that the officers keep mentioning who brought his son to the town and through him down into the coal fire. This seemlingly has no significance to the rest of the movie, but they go out of their way to discuss it. What if PH is representative of either this s...

Official 'Room for Imporvement' discussion

Great movie, no doubt, but there were some things that could have been better.

The film seemed to be oddly focused on it being a dead mining town, with apparently a coal fire still burning undergound. I thought that was an idea that need a LOT more explanation at the very best.

Official Things the Movie Did Well

Post here the things you think the movie did great, particularly in regard to how it related to the games.

The best part I thought was how they kept true to the separate layers of reality, the real town, foggy, and Otherworld.
