Baha it seems to happen right before or after a nightmare sequence. SAVE YOUR GAME OFTEN. The fact that there is no Auto Save kinda sucks, considering at least 90% of games have some sort of auto-save feature, so you forget that you actually need to go into the phone and save your game.

I second that. No matter how much i like Resident Evil, the movies sucked. But if they can get sequels, then the Silent Hill movie (which I liked) should get one too.

You know I've found that the best way to deal with "Needlers" is to use the axe. It's slow but if you're lucky you can Dodge->Heavy Attack and hit them in the head which will instantly kill them. That's how I got passed that part anyway.
