Greetings! My name is HSRGV and i'm a longtime fan of the series from Finland. I casually played SH games when i was a kid, but never really got immersed enough to complete them. Now as a 21 year old young man, i finally finished SH1, SH2, SH3 and SH4.

Now that i identified myself as a proper fan, i wanted to be part of a community so i decided to do a search on Google for a SH forum. Then i found this place, but wait, a memory struck my mind, i remembered that i had been a lurker on this site before. Well, now i'm a member and i hope you accept me to your community.

Hope this place ain't too dead yet even though the series seem to be. :|

Greetings! How was playing through the series as an adult?
I pop in here and there to lurk, there's still some activity here.

Welcome!

It's not necessarily dead. Just begging for life I suppose.

Welcome to heaven on earth.

Your introduction to Silent Hill sounds very interesting. Like Mustang said, how was playing through the series as an adult? And in the same time frame as well? Without nostalgia glasses, it would be interesting to know how you experienced the difference in story, gameplay and horror in the first 4 games.

And yes, Silent Hill as a series is super dead and that undeniably affects this forum. Unless Konami decides to sell off some of its franchises to other video game companies (which I sincerely hope will happen for Silent Hill; Capcom would be a good choice) it will remain super dead. Konami has no plans to continue create console games.
