Which soundtrack did you like better? Which soundtrack did you find more fitting? I think I personally enjoyed Silent Hill 3's soundtrack better. However, with all respect to the 3rd game, I feel SH 2 had a more fitting soundtrack. Although the sound design itself was superior in SH3.

I love em both, but sh3 for me. Sh2 was great and i feel like it did a great job fitting the tone of the game (plus it just sounds great) but sh3 imo was a more diverse soundtrack. Plus its the first sh soundtrack i experienced so i have a soft spot for it.

Silent Hill 2 is a magnificent, beautiful and heavily melancholy soundtrack. A definite masterpiece.
But I find Silent Hill 3's to be a lot more listenable. As stated above, it's more diverse. It also contains a lot of my favorite songs in the series (Letters, Stray Child, Innocent Moon, Heads No. 2, Dance With Night Wind). The Three Voices Mix of Rain Of Brass Petals also got me into Interlace which was a phenomenal industrial band. Not to mention it's also the most nostalgic for me as a lot of my friends listened to the SH3 OST when it was new. There was a lot of nights driving around in the rain listening to it. And it introduced Mary Elizabeth to the series despite the amount of bitching by the fans at the time.
