After the husband (Chris?) gets to the car after wife (Rose?) dies.... where are the bodies?

It's sorta the same experience when Rose feels her husband's presence by the lockers. The two people are in separate dimensions but their surroundings stay in place.

Rose is not found in the car because she left the car in her search, though in Silent Hill's fog dimension. If she had still been sitting there the whole time when her husband came across the Jeep, he still would not be able to see or touch Rose.

Trio realites: Real world (Chris), Foggy Purgatory (Rose, Cybil, and the members of the Order) and the Dark Nightmare (also the Order, Rose and Cybil).

Rose apparently never left the Foggy realm because of the pact she foolishly made.

they cant be dead becouse gans said himself that he put 4 dimisions in the film,one being the past silent hill for some reason.but yea,he mensions the dimisions and how important they are and never says anything to give away or hint at them being in a purgatory.thats be coping a few movies like the 6th sense.why copy when you have a totaly uniqe layout in front of you.

Well, if you add the one he mentioned to the three I mentioned, you have:

1: Real world.
2: "Past Silent Hill"
3: Foggy Silent Hill
4: Nightmare Silent Hill

Not sure what "past Silent Hill" means, though.

It sounds like it means the way Silent Hill was in the past, before the fires, fully populated. But I don't recall seeing that in the movie.
Silent Hill back then is the same reality as "1) Real world" in Krist's list.

the only time "past silent hill" was shown, in the movie, was in flashbacks and the flashbacks were of the "real world" and not a different, 4th, dimension.
