Origins of Alessa's PH

Post by JKristine35 »

In the painting in the hotel, there are several men wearing large, conical hats, tan-colored skirts, and no shirts. Maybe this could be the origin of Alessa's manifestation of PH?

That painting is fairly well-known, I just forget the title of it.

Well-known or not, it still comes strnagely close to the movie's version of PH:
bare chests, tan skirts, cone-shaped hats.

Can't he just have the same artistic origin as James' version? And besides, those hats are nothing like PH's helmet.

you know, it may have some semblance. it kind of looks like 3-11 hats in the picture but imagine what a nightmare version of it would be.

i think thats a pretty good thought! they way they are dressed is def very close to PH. and maybe she had only remmebered the paintign at a glance. Besides dreama and memories can be easily skewed....

I think it is a good thought for sure!

That picture is an official screenshot of a painting that we barely see in the movie. We know that Gans left several easter eggs throughout the movie, was this painting connecting to PH one of them?

^That's cause they left it out in the theater-release version. It's only viewable in the DVD.

I dunno why they left out this painting though... I think it looks better than the witch-burning painting in the film...
