I believe she was killed that way because alessa wanted to shed her of her "purity", in a sense.
or could it have been because Gans wanted a super violent revenge scene for the audience?

Pretty much all the answers here are right.
Is there a difference? Unless you're implying that Alessa was totally getting down with Colin all giddy-like, it was rape.i dont know if alessa was "raped' i think she was definitely molested though.

No, rape is forced penetration, molestation is unwanted fondling of genitalia.AuraTwilight wrote:Pretty much all the answers here are right.

I actually just noticed right before it happens, she says "God be with me" insignifigant, but I didnt notice that the first 10 times of seeing the movie

Or maybe he just wanted to cut 'em...
uhh.... Ill be leaving now

oooooooooo not cool guy... not coolMockingbird wrote:Because she was a raging c*nt.
hmm and maybe him twisting the knife meant... you know... him like... ripping her so to speak? widening her?......................awkwardI think the scene where PH thrusts his massive sword through the door at Rose and Cybil strongly implies that Alessa was indeed raped.

I know your analysis may be a bit out there, but i can see where your coming from, i dont thin they would symbolize that much though. We are talking about a child.Shoot The Sky wrote:I actually just noticed right before it happens, she says "God be with me" insignifigant, but I didnt notice that the first 10 times of seeing the movie

I guess it might have to do with that purity thing, but, I was kinda just thinking that it was pretty much just intended to be a violent death.
Although, that purity thing is a good possibility.
Uhhh, he's trying to kill them.
You might as well say that when some nurse is carrying a big steel pipe around, that's supposed to symbolize...you know.

Honestly, I think that's just a ridiculous thing to say. Do you really think that by merely shoving a big knife through a door to kill them, that it was supposed to symbolize that, or anything even?JRamirez35 wrote:I think the scene where PH thrusts his massive sword through the door at Rose and Cybil strongly implies that Alessa was indeed raped.

don't speak for all females on that, because "c*nt" is one of my favorite insults.Shoot The Sky wrote:kind of a bit disrespectfull to say that
anyway, implying that alessa was raped is ludicrous. i've said it before - you guys would make freud jealous with your theories.
