Claudia and her father

Post by Themis' Mirage »

I know it's been discussed that Claudia may (or may not) be in the movie. But, what about her father? He was a prominent man in the religion, and (I think) still involved when

(don't know if this is a major spoiler or not)

Alessa was sacrificed.
Any thoughts?

P.S.: Has it been proven that this girl is Claudia?

No, it hasn't.. Claudia wasn't one of the confirmed characters.

It's been discussed and we don't know who the girl is. The problem is that we don't know who people in the movie are. Remember a good screen writer and good director are masters of misdirection and surprise. They know that the hardcore fans are watching. They know that confirming any character could tell us volumes about the movie.
I wouldn't put it past Gans to put in characters that were not confirmed and other surpises that we never saw coming. Claudia, Walter, Vincent and number other characters are not confirmed. Lisa wasn't thought to be in the movie, but low and behold two pictures of her speak a thousand words. The official site is probably full of smoke and mirrors. I not taking that site at face value at all. Do not assume with this movie.

Seeing that woman's outfit now leads me to believe she's a member of the cult...

Probably not considering she was only five at the time of Silent Hill 1.

what do you meen 5?

She would have at least been 8 because thats how old cheryl is in the first game.
but i think she was 5 when heather was burned
5+8 = 13 years old

Im pretty sure claudia was in her teens during sh1 so that could easily be her.

Sorry. She was six at the time Alessa's burning occurred. She was thirteen at the time of Silent Hill 1.

(Cheryl was seven at the time of Silent Hill 1, by the way.)

oh 7~
So claudia is in her teens, and her dad could very well be a person in that cult you see.

The woman in the above photo, however, whom I'm talking about, is not in her teens, thus: not Claudia. Unless they altered it further.

I don't know. Christabella's (The little black haired bitched in the Silent Hill comics) a 'confirmed' character in the movies and is being played by a 50 year old.

Well, from all this... we can say the same about her dad:

I have seen a picture, where Rose, Cybil and maybe that woman is walking inside of some building. And then was that picture where Sharon/Alessa was close to Dahlia and behind sofa from those miners, sound pretty "not like Silent Hill" things for me, eh. But movie "again" doesn't plays like Silent Hill story, Hmm, I don't know..

One would think that :?

Bringing up Claudia has made me think about Resident Evil (bear with me, I'm going somewhere with this...)

At the end of the first film, we hear the word "Nemesis" being muttered. Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I was rather pleased/excited about this. Until I actually saw the second the film and saw they ruined the idea. Anyway, do you think Gans will leave it really open for a sequel? Like, in the last moments of the film, a girl being referred to as Claudia is seen (Adversary says she's only 5 at this point, so it would only be a girl), or maybe Valtiel makes an appearance dragging behind him the dead body of...whoever dies in the last 5 minutes of the film?

Just a musing, seeing as a sequel could well be on the cards :)

Gans said he wants to do a sequel and would do SH3. So maybe the ending will be Rose getting a new baby and running back home. Or maybe they will end it when the cult attacks Heather and Rose in their new home. Hopefully it will be an ambiguous ending...

Somehow I feel that they just used that name, but is not the character from the comic (thank god)... as in the comic she was the sister of the main character, and this she appears to be a prominent figure in the Order... If anyone is going to be a Claudia type character, I feel it'd be her...
