Well, you asked. There are no deleted scenes, this is all you can get.

Gans has admitted that there was a deleted scene involving Christabella and there are photos of a scene involving Alessa manifesting unnatural powers in front of her classmates.
Here's a screencap from that scene: http://www.jodelle-ferland.net/gallery/ ... m=20&pos=1

There are some scenes that can be seen in the behind-the-scenes videos; Cybil and Rose fighting monsters in the street. And one part in the trailer, the car sliding through Alessa on the road to Silent Hill, was also removed from the film. I don't know if these really count as "deleted scenes," but I wish they'd release a DVD with them reinserted if they are.
I'm currently out in search of myself. If I happen come come back before I return, please ask me to wait for myself.

I do too. I really want to see these. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude.

Yeah, besides the Sequences you seen done in a completely different way in the Featurette(s), some Promotional Images/Candids and that one scene in the trailer where the Jeep actually goes through Alessa (giving the audience a better look at her as opposed to the "blink and you miss it" glimpse of her figure wandering out in the road in the final product), there really doesn't seem to be any "Deleted Scenes" of any sort for Silent Hill, at least not the general sense.

That was probably my biggest disappointment with the DVD release, besides the lack of audio commentary from anyone involved with the film. It doesn't go any further than what they want to present to you and maybe that was done on purpose (or Sony was just being plain cheap).
There's a hole in the wall. Naturally, the smart and sane thing to do would be to stick your hand inside it or crawl through it.

There's like a 4 disc Japanese edition. One cd is widescreen, one is fullscreen (I think) one disc is special features, and the fourth disc is a comparison of the game to the movie. Would be awesome to have a subbed version of this!

You're almost correct.

There's no Fullscreen version, I don't think they do FULLSCREEN in Japan because it's, well.............retarded. :?

The 4th disc is actually just the Blu-Ray version of the movie, the rest is the same as their 3-disc set, also released seperately. Both sets came with a little booklet of art from the games and movie.

So you get the Japanese version of the movie on a regular DVD in widescreen AND Blu-Ray.

The 2nd disc has the "Path of Darkness" featurettes and the STARZ Making-Of special(subbed in Japanese), along with the international trailer and basically all of the Japanese trailers and TV spots from what I can tell.

The other disc is called "The Truth of Silent Hill" and it actually has a bit more than just the game-to-movie comparison stuff. There's character and story summaries for the first two games, ads for SH-related media at the time such as the digital phone manga, and last but not least a fairly lengthy interview with Akira Yamaoka about the games and the adapted film.

Of course, that interview is all in Japanese with no English subtitles. :(

I'm sure there's the one scene of Anna fighting off a straight jacket monster just before they meet her, which was taken out...

I also keep seeing footage of Pyramid Head holding a bloody, naked cult member by the neck (it's a dummy) in the making of. Now that I have the movie on Blu Ray I can see quite clearly that he's holding it when he first appears, but it does seem like they were aiming for a scene where he murders a cult member similarly to how he does Anna...
Where we're from, the birds sing a pretty song, and there's always music in the air.

I was wondering if they released a 'steelbook case' version of the Bluray copy? I have the normal Bluray copy with a cardboard slip cover [with a different cover art to the actually Bluray case cover] from the UK. Where there any special cover cases released for the Bluray version? Thanks.

I think I saw this question before, and the picture you're referring to is a picture of scene before they added in the CGI bugs. (I think ;) )

I think DistantJ is referring to the scene in the making of where we see PH walking up some steps dragging the body along.
He's also got his arse out!!!
