Don't laugh... The Janitor = Pyramid Head?

Post by Michael »

I know it's rubbish or whatever, but looking at several pics of these two characters, they look alike. Looking at a poster of PH with a belt on, I noticed his arms, upper body is a bit similar to the Janitor. Would it be possible these two tie in together in the movie?

Maybe the same actor for both monsters? To me they look totally different though. One is a pain inflicter while another one looks tortured. Could be a masochistic (in a broad meaning) version of PH though.

Gans said there's a reason the Janitor is being tormented.

Maybe he couldn't keep his hands off little kids?

I think maybe the Janitor didn't help little Alessa while she was being picked on...
Just a thought, but notice how he can't see? Has to be a reason for that.

Pyramid head was the most unique monster in SH2 as it directly related to the town and James was a secondary - as all the other creatures directly related to James with the town's influence as a secondary. So, while I understand not using creatures from the first (giant bugs and birds won't cut it in this film, guys, sorry) for atmospheric purposes - pyramid head is easy to wrap around the story and give new meaning to as his physical representation goes directly back to the cult of that town. It can also be manipulated to play a crucial role in all of Alessa's torment. Of course - bringing pyramid head into the film is something for the fans - but he is a very easy character to make work.

As for why we all love him - he is mysterious, big, and doesn't die. Also cool looking. People are seeking his true identity - but that annoys me - he has no true identity, he derrives from the towns past...and there are as many of him as the town wants...he's a monster that, to me, represents the nature of the towns "magic", above and beyond the cult and practices of the people in it. Same with Valetiel

i kniow about the reason to pyramid head and shit like that

am on about when poeple say hes more than one character in a movie and stuff

if hes in a different form then he aint got a pyramid andthere for can't be cal;l;ed pyramid head

that what i am on about. not why he was in the movie

stop trying to say that pyramid head is more than one character in a game or a movie. its rather annoying

I was only curious. Maybe they made him into The Janitor as a plot twist. Maybe the director or something made a little plot twist. Now fuck off with the negativity! lol

Do we even know if the Janitor is significant?
He could just be a thing they walk past.

I think he'll be quite important, but maybe in a Valtiel-ish way. Not a lot of presence, but a lot of signification.

You're absolutely right on the like-ness thing because if you see the DVD extras you find out the same actor plays the janitor while still alive, the dead janitor, and pyramid head. I doubt they actually tie in together somehow in the storyline though. Isn't PH supposed to be like a demon who enforces the laws of SH? Or just torments people... Colin was just a big part of Alessa's pain because of what he did to her. I think he was just punished and that PH is of a much higher status than him.

The only reason the bodies of the jantior and ph look alike is because they were played by the same person.......Oh,and the janitor rapped young Allessa :o

I believe they got the coordinator of something to play both of the parts because nobody else could. :!:

I do believe that Ph in the movie is the same as the janitor. He raped Alessa and she fears him(duh) for it. Even though she has the power to trap all those who've
hurt her in purgatory, she still fears him for hurtting her internally and as most rape victims, can never get over the trama. That is why he is a forceful character that will back anyone into a corner, just as he did to young Alessa.

The link between the dead janitor and the live janitor is also present.Alessa has gotten over the human elemant of the janitor who raped her, hence the difference of dead janitor twisted in pain as Alessa feels, but PH has no face due to the fact it was the act that hurt her and it is the act that she can never get over.

Just my therory of course.
