Dahlia Gillespie
Okay, maybe I missed this part in the movie, maybe I didn't.
However, I don't recall anybody EVER telling Rose that her name was Dahlia.
Then all of a sudden, at the end of the movie, she said something about Dahlia, and I went:
"Hey, wait a sec.... how the hell does she know her name??"

Oh yeah, my bad!
I forgot all about that part.
I guess I pushed the whole "Anna" part completely out of my head, mainly because her presence is pointless and she seemed mildly retarded.

Yeah. Why was Anna so slow? Every time she said lies I wanted to smack her. that "Filth and Lies!" line annoyed me to no end. I was so glad when she died.

Maybe. but you seee....

I think the cult members are dead as door nails, caught in limbo
so inbreeding wouldnt occur at all.

I don't really think that inbreeding was that rampant in West Virginia in the 1970's, but I could be wrong. I think that the school just kept them stupid from a very young age in order to make it easier to brainwash them.
On a complete side note, however, red hair is a trait that is much more likely to happen among those who inbreed or have a weak gene pool, as is the chance to carry many more recessive traits.

No, I'm pretty sure they are dead. Nobody could survive in that town with the poison air. Everybody's dead.Noisy Plain wrote:I dont think the cultists are dead. I think they once again have endless life, like they had before God was born. And I also think that Anna was handicapped someway.
And yes, inbreeding cant happen when you're dead, so that doesn't mean that they weren't that way when they died 30 years ago.

I refuse to believe the cultists are dead. If you remember in the 3rd game it said before God was born, people fought endlessly for death, but it never came. I think when Alessa took over, they went back to that state of endless life, and only Alessa could take it away from them.Biomechanical wrote:No, I'm pretty sure they are dead. There was probably not as much smoke because it was raining. Water vapor has a funny way of being able to absorb a lot of airborne particles. Even so, he still had to wear a mask just to go in and look around.DAms wrote:If you remeber there was no smoke when Chris went in SH. He was in the real SH. Rose was in Allessa's SH.
And Dailha turns out to be a good guy WTF??

I loved Dahlia's character, it showed her a mother. Remember that this movie is Silent Hill now or the closest thing to it. The first game is the parrallel one now. No use in comparing it to the game. Crystal replaced Dahlia as the creepy cultist bitch. I hate people who are willfully that ignorate.

I thought the mining and fumes part of the story was cover for what really happened just keep people out. I don't think the town was really dangerous (other then the whole Allessa thing) I just think it was to keep people out because I agree that everyone is dead in Silent Hill so they just covered it up to avoid questions-something along those lines

Dahlia & PH
Hi, I've seen the movie yesterday and it was great, the best movie I've seen in years..
about Dahlia...I think she is the one who killed Anne..
Have you noticed that when they were running into the churce she did somthing with her hands and pointed to Anna, and then PH just appers behind Anna (before she through a rock on dahlia)..and traaaa Anna is dead by PH...
Also I think that I saw Dahlia smile at this point but I can't make sure of that...
I am gonna watch the movie again

whoa, i think this is one of the best arguements on the topic if the townspeople are dead or not.Anonymous wrote:I refuse to believe the cultists are dead.
