Lying figure??
Why is the Armless monster often reffered to as the Lying Figure?
I can't recall them ever telling untruths nor were any of them in the horizontal position.

Lying Figure is the official term for them. They're from SH2, and if you ever shoot/beat them to the ground then 80% of the time they'll scuttle around on their stomach before getting up. So they're LYING down whilst doing that.

Ahh i see now. I've played SH2 many times and yes, they do scuttle about on the floor alot. Along with making really annoying noisescasuallydressed wrote:Lying Figure is the official term for them. For someone who hasn't played the games, or just not SH2, it's easy to see the confusion as they don't do it in the film.
They are also inspired by Francis Bacon's painting series "Lying Figure."

In the SH2 making of-documentary, Ito said they were inspired by his friend, who one day came to work with his hands shoved deep into his hoodie's pockets and nodding his head to some music he had in his walkman.amphreded wrote:They are also inspired by Francis Bacon's painting series "Lying Figure."
But I of course could be wrong, but this what I recall.
