Where to find a decently priced copy?
This is the only Silent Hill Game (Silent Hill 1) that I do not have, apart from Origins.
I looked on Amazon, and it was priced at 280 US dollars! This seems awfully expensive, but if it is the lowest price out there, then I guess I cannot complain...
Otherwise, if it is not, look at my topic title for my question.

$280 is out of control. I'm sure you've checked your local EBgames/Gamestop. Do a search and call some of them that are further away from you to see if they have a copy in stock.

Not in stock, so check everyday. But it hasn't been in stock for a while now.

I currently have 2 copies (both are scratched in different places, so I have to alternate disks to play the game straight through), and I got them at Game Crazy for about $10 each, $14 max.

Is Game Crazy a credible online store? I only buy from online stores that I know I can trust.Matney X wrote:I currently have 2 copies (both are scratched in different places, so I have to alternate disks to play the game straight through), and I got them at Game Crazy for about $10 each, $14 max.

It's already used, and is in auction on eBay, it ends up on five days, so if you are interested hurry up and go there.
I already spent all my Christmas money, so I need to find some way to convince my dad to get this.

Oh man, I remember going into the game shops in malls and in the next town over here, and Silent Hill would always just be chillin with the other PSX games at a beautiful price of $10 - sometimes even less.
I'll tell you one thing though, guys; once I was in this superduper retro game store a few months back, and for the fuck of it I asked if they had Silent Hill on them. And yes they did. Unopened. Cellophane-wrapped. Mint condition. I wasn't aware such a thing even existed anymore. o_o
And of course it was like, $100, so I obviously didn't snag it.

HI!
I myself was looking for SH1 guidebook. I found some online but it was pretty expensive. So i went to a site (I think it was game revolution or something like that) & found the online version of the guide. I know this sounds crazy but I highlighted all of it, copied it to microsoft word thingy, deleted a whole bunch of crap, then printed it. Now I have nothing better to do with life so I deleted a whooole bunch of crap, cut to the point, and printed out about 12 pages. But then again, that doesn't include some puzzle info cause i already had that printed out. But if you're really desperate and, like me, broke, then go for it.

Re: Where to find a decently priced copy?
$280 is ridiculous, even for Amazon. When I had to replace my copy (which I'd lent out), I bought an unopened, untouched one from Amazon.com for $40 (I think). It could have been $50, but that's still a hell of a lot better than $280. I don't think you looked at all of the options on the site.Gwenfloor wrote: I looked on Amazon, and it was priced at 280 US dollars!
Then again, you can always try buying a cheap used one at e-bay or something of that sort. You might luck out and find that rare-as-hell copy at a local game shop, too. I myself would rather pay extra for one that isn't used, but not $280. I'm not very keen on buying used discs online. At real game stores, yes.
For all I know, you could've already bought the $8 one, but there's my input.
