What was the worst puzzle?

Have you seen Harry's daughter anywhere? Short, dark hair?

What was the worst puzzle?

Post by FatalFrame »

What was the worst puzzle you had to do, or had trouble with or just annoyed the shit out of you?

For my own it was the piano one. I try not to use a guide but everytime I get to that one I still have to look it up. I've played the game 4 times now but I can never remember the stupid answer.

I found the piano easy, the hardest puzzles in my opinion, all of them were at the hospital!

^ I second that. I was stuck for days. I even borrowed my mum's horoscope book to see if I could find any sort of clue in there! :P

It was kinda dissapointing to find out it wasn't that complicated...

I absolutely love the SH1 puzzles. They're the best of all the SH games. The hardest had to have been the piano one, though. I despise using guides, so I spent forever trying to figure it out. The zodiac one took me awhile too, but now that I understand it, it makes it easier when I replay. I still get caught on the piano one for a little longer than I should, though.

I gotta agree here...that one killed me, I had to look it up. I cried when I realized how unbelievably obvious it was! I spent hours on end just trying to connect it somehow. Ahh to be young again. XD!

The zodiac one in nowhere, yeah that was the one I wasted most of my time. The piano one, too, I never finished it. After 30 minutes, I stopped and used a guide, and I always do now. I just can never figure it out myself, I don't know why.

I found all of the puzzles in SH1 to be easy, actually. I might have struggled for 10 minutes on the piano one but I never really got stuck in the game. SH2 and SH3 had far harder puzzles that on hard, sometimes required me to get a freaking guide. (*cough* Patient's rooms corridor poem, "T" in SH2 *cough*)

That was the only puzzle I actually cheated on in the entire game, which is quite unusual for me.

For me, it was a tie between the zodiac puzzle and the gate thing in the alternative school basement. With no real hints, I just kept on turning the darn things until I got lucky.

There wasn't really any set puzzle that made me angry, but I didn't like the valve gate puzzle, and the whole thing of nowhere (with no map or anything).

I hated not having any map for that, too. My memory sucks so the first time I played it it took me much longer than it should have because I kept getting turned around.

I got stuck for a while on the valve gate one, haha.
The piano one wasn't so bad, though.

1. The piano. (The worst)
2. The Plates
3. The zodiac

They were all too hard!

The zodiac took pretty long for me too. Strange that it was so difficult for so many, it's really very simple afterall. Maybe it's becouse you expect at first that you must know everything about zodiac stuff or something to solve the puzzle when it has nothing to do with the signs themselves.

Most of the puzzles we're good, but i hated the one with the letters. I think the clues were somehow misinforming, i can't remember why...
I can't believe i earned 10 Silent Hill cash for this.

That's exactly what happened to me. I was sure it was a lot more complicated than it actually was...
