Moth - Referance to The Silence Of The Lambs [BOSS SPOILERS]

Have you seen Harry's daughter anywhere? Short, dark hair?

Back to the topic at hand, aren't there posters hidden in the game that advertise Silence of the Lambs (It's been a while since the last time I played, but I do remember that being somewhere) So I would think its fairly feasible that the moth be a reference to the movie.

Yes. It is possible to see a newspaper headline reading "Bill Skins Fifth," a headline mentioned near the beginning of SOTL referencing serial killer Buffalo Bill's latest murder.

But I don't think you fight the moth because of Silence of the Lambs cover box art. I know you fight the moth because of Alessa and her moth fears. Not b/c of Dr. Hannibal Lector or crazy Buffalo Bill.

It did neither. Where do you get this?
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

I thought it mentions some where that the book frightened Alessa as child. Or in SH3 Heather remembers back to some similar thing. Oh well, I guess not. My silly mind must be remembering false memories. . .hmmm. . .

So, if a moth represents change, and we meet a huge moth on the roof of a multiple-story building, what do we get?
Not only that but we meet a caterpillar before that. So yes, there is change. If it means anything, i don't know. Perhaps some allegory of
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
the god growing inside Alessa or something. Or, wretched, burnt Alessa changing into... something else. It could mean anything or nothing.
I can't believe i earned 10 Silent Hill cash for this.

In case you hadn't read it, the moth (floatstinger) is the caterpillar (twinfeeler), which is the only boss that escapes after you defeat it.
Silent Hill Chronicle wrote:Floatstinger (Moth/Giant moth)

area: Business district

character: Mature form of the twinfeeler. Attacks with poison gas and
the poisonous stinger on its tail

metaphor: "Floatstinger." The image of an insect specimen that was used
to decorate Alessa's room.
