You've already mentioned the timeline on the first page of this thread.SyphonFilter1987 wrote:Yeah, I'm not talking about the years.
Are you trying to pick a fight with MMY or something? Because that's all you seem to be doing. How about explaining why you're so against his Brookhaven theory as well as your comment on the timeline?

Yeah, according to your timeline, Silent Hill Homecoming takes place in 2007, NOT 2006.MMY wrote:Konami already has considering it produced the games from which my facts are derived.
Silent Hill: Homecoming has officially been said to occur in fall 2006. A diary in Silent Hill 4: The Room indicates it (officially) occurs in 2001. A calendar in Silent Hill 2 proves Amy Baldwin died in 1984 and 10 years before the game's events—so, officially in 1994. Silent Hill 3 officially occurs 4 years before SH4:TR, Silent Hill obviously is 17 years earlier, and Silent Hill: Origins 7.
All facts straight from the developers and writers.

According to this website, Silent Hill: Homecoming takes place in 2008.

Anyway, the games NEVER mention any of the years in your timeline.
I agree. Until Konami officially releases a timeline, any timeline created by a fan is just fan-fiction. I'm shocked that all of these members act like MMY is the prophet Jesus.Haoie wrote:The whole concept of timeline is pointless.

HA HA! I disagree. His post was not pointless. Anyway, your post is definitely not pointless.Deadbolt wrote:Your post is pointless.

MMY's done more that his share of work on his timeline, and if you actually bothered looking at it you'd see that he has LOTS of citation and explanations as to how he got those dates. He's used official material.SyphonFilter1987 wrote:I'm shocked that all of these members act like MMY is the prophet Jesus.
Again: Are you just trying to pick a fight with him?
Also, I'd like to point out that fans of Harry Potter created their own timeline years before J.K. Rowling provided official birth dates of the characters and years during which the events take place. They - like MMY - used official source material, and they ended up being absolutely correct. Ever since then I've had more faith in fan-created timelines, especially when the person uses official source material and does research as opposed to simply pulling it out of their ass.

Come on. Do you even try to make some researches around the timeline? I can understand you can't make it out about some old Silent Hills because it is not so easy to calculate etc. (although if you've tried to do that with the help of MMY's work you've most certainly succeeded), but Homecoming? Finding out SHH year is easy as a pie. It's 2007 according to official sources and simple logic.

I mistyped.

"This website" is a fan-made Web site. There's nothing official about it. For you to say it is official and mine isn't is contradictory.
The fact you cannot refute my timeline is evidence you don't know what you're arguing, esp. when, earlier, you said, "I'm not talking about the years."

I've pointed out the exact same thing in the past (I'm glad I got the jeep model right, I'm not much of a car guy ), and the answer I got was something along the lines of "When SH1 was made there wasn't any thought into continuity or timeline". It's setting in time was essentially retconned by the hard dates found in later SH games combined with Heather's age.
There's a lot of other minor anachronisms like that in there, like posters and references to bands that didn't exist in the early 80's.

Looks like Deadbolt has been backed into a corner. Now all we need is Jerry Springer and a sob story about a prostitute.
Seriously, though, nice observation about the jeep although lets be realistic, a lot of games looked square back then. It might not have been totally intended.
