Sorry to make such a vague post, but does anyone know what's the name of the ritual Dahlia used on Alessa? I call it the "Burning Ritual" but that sounds weird.

I typically see it referred to as the immolation ritual (burning ritual works just as well), but I don't recall if there's an Official Name for it.

Just flipped through the official strategy guide. No name for it in there, I'm afraid.

The official name is "the ritual of resurrection."

Can we get a citation on that?

Lost Memories: Silent Hill Chronicle writes, "'God' manipulating flame has to do with the fact that Alessa was burned in the ritual of resurrection."

How was that the Ritual Of Resurrection? It seems an improper name for it.

The ritual is performed to resurrect god.

Sounds good to me...but maybe it's not the "Ritual of Resurrection" but the ritual of "Resurrection".

Hmm...

If that were the case, there would be quotation marks, like "ritual of 'resurrection.'"

Thanks! I'll check it out. :D

Is there a physical copy I can purchase? I googled it and didn't see anything.

I don't see anything implying that "ritual of resurrection" is an actual name. It seems to just be a description of what the ritual is, like "immolation ritual."

The book specifically says "the ritual of resurrection." Not "a ritual of resurrection." I'm calling it "the ritual of resurrection" b/c that's what the writers call it.

Alright, but that doesn't make it an in-universe official ritual. I've seen it be called " the Immolation ritual" in other sources, so by your logic that's also the official name.
