I always thought that the OSTs needed a little more cowbell.

well maybe I'm crazy but I happen to like the speeches, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's voice did a great job on them.

Hope Silent hill V soundtrack to be vocal oriented like silent hill 3 soundtrack
Or to be completely Instrumental like 1 & 2.

I was just looking over the tracklist for SH Zero... didn't anyone else notice that several of the titles are those of classic rock songs? I thought the first one I noticed was coincidental, but come on... Shot Down in Flames= AC/DC. Meltdown= AC/DC. Snowblind= Black Sabbath. Hole in the Sky= Black Sabbath. Raw Power= Guns N' Roses.
Possibly more I don't know?
Looked up these 2: Real Solution= White Zombie. Wicked End= Avenged Sevenfold.

But anyway, after reading a thread about the SH Zero soundtrack, I'm dying to buy it... but can't yet. It's not that I don't have any money, but it's pretty much eaten up by bills and necessities. I'll have to struggle for this.
Also, I have copies of all the other soundtracks... but I'd love to buy the official copies. I really would. Someday I hope to have them all.

The order I like the soundtracks in is actually their numerical order, pretty much. Some people may find the SH1 soundtrack boring, but I love it. I love the ambient sounds & music of Silent Hill, particularly the first game.
I've printed out sheet music for several SH songs for the piano. The only one I know by heart so far is Music Box (SH2). Well, and Room of Angel, but that one's not nearly as fun.

OH MY GOD. Don't even get me started on the soundtracks. I love the music immensely. My favorite track ever is probably Love Psalm from SH2. I've had it on loop for days. SH3 has alot of amazing songs as well. The second and third OST are my favorites. The songs with lyrics are beautiful, you know the ones from The Room. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn has the voice of an angel.

I really love the soundtracks as well. I also listen to soundtracks that are inspired by them (Broken Notes, etc.). I really like the atmosphere and I listen to it when I'm writing short stories to get the inspirational juices flowing.

My favorite soundtracks are Betrayal (SH2) and Wounded Warsong (SH4). I can listen to them forever :D

do you all have the Konami label soundtracks that cost a fortune, or ones you find off e-bay that are JUST AS GOOD in quality all around, but without a Konami label, and MUCH cheaper?

i got the OST for 0 1 2 3 and 4 and they all cost under $50 combined. am i the only one that doesnt see the point in paying so much more just for a red Konami label?

I love the soundtracks and own 1-4 on CD, 1 and 4 are the Japanese editions (4 has the second disc) and 2 and 3 are the UK editions in the slipcases. Currently watching a soundtrack for Origins on eBay but unsure if it's genuine or not.

EDIT: Purchased Origins soundtrack from Play Asia. Worked out more expensive, but I'm happy to know it will be genuine.

Hey guys, how much does the Silent Hill 2 OST usually go for?
You can take my heart

I'm so out of the loop with Silent Hill anymore. It's a horrible feeling. :( I'm trying to catch up with the soundtracks for Origins and Homecoming. I'm seeing 'complete' and 'original' soundtracks. I don't even know what to look for. I'm guessing Ebay is the place to buy them. Or no? I came across something like AnimeCast. But I was warned about places like that. So I'm completely lost. I can't search thru any more topics or anything, my eyes are starting to cross.

Any words of advice?

You should be careful with the Complete Soundtracks. They don't always includes the songs, instead you can get ambience or game ripped video sounds. Always go with the Original Soundtracks when you buy for real money. That's my only advice. I'm swedish, so I don't go on eBay.

"Complete" soundtracks are fan-made rips from in-game audio. Selling them is illegal.

"Original" soundtracks are the official soundtrack, licensed by Konami. However, 99% of them you'll find online are bootlegs. Selling them, too, is illegal.

If you're willing to buy a bootleg, you're better off just downloading the soundtrack. a) you'll be screwing the bootlegging company out of money just as much as it's screwing Konami and Akira Yamaoka out of the money, and b) you won't be spending anything of your own.

Additionally, if you opt to buy online, look for the Konami logo on the packaging and disc. If the logo is on neither, it's a bootleg. If the company S/M something or AnimeCast is printed on either, it's a bootleg. The only logo that should be on the disc is Konami's.

No, I never bothered to hunt them down, save for the Silent Hill 3 Original Soundtrack and the Silent Hill 4: The Room Original Soundtrack (U.S. version)—but neither were a hunt to find.
