Silent Hill 4
Track: F♯ —Shimomu—
Sample Library: Big Fish Audio: Groove Dimensions
Sample Name: 06 short-reverb G
Time of Sample: 0:00

Has anyone found the first drumloop for Letter from the Lost Days yet? Seems odd that it's not in the Peculiar Beats nor Smoke libraries.. I don't know where/when it was found out, or by who, but according to the spreadsheet it's in a hip hop library by Sony.. ?

Has anyone found the operatic vocal sample used in the Scarlet boss music in Silent Hill Homecoming? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

From what I remember, that's the only sample he used from that particular library. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's it...

I might! I'll see if there's a new SH-Fan-Sountrack project in one of the other sections of this forum, if yes, I'll try to get on it.

If not - Then I'll just post them all online as a fan-made mini-album, once the ones I'm working on at the moment are complete ;-)

I've been looking through the thread and found that many of the samples I want are from Zero-G Ambient Volume 1 CDDA. Problem is that I only have a wav file version of Ambient 1. I also ran into trouble when trying to find Fields of Motion, found no copies on ebay or when I used google search and such. Does anyone know where I might be able to obtain a copy of either one of these two sample libraries?

@TechnoMysterio: If the samples are divided into partition folders (Partition A, Partition B, etc.), that's actually the "DLP" - a digital re-release of "Ambient" (which is commonly mistaken as Ambient Volume 1). "Ambient" was just a collection of samples (not all samples) from both Volume 1 and Volume 2 that was released as a single AKAI CD-ROM in 1994. http://www.sounduser.com/ambient2/p5.html

My copy of Ambient 1 is not the digital re-release, it's something else, not the CDDA version. It's some kind of Kontakt with Wav files setup, which isn't very useful. I do have a copy of Ambient 2 in CDDA though, but all the samples from Ambient that I want are in the CDDA version of Vol. 1.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to make those ambient sounds from "Never Forgive me, Never forget me" in LMMS/FL Studio? I really want to use them, but I have no idea how to make them :D

Sounds like a sine wave with either tremolo or vibrato over it (or a little bit of both) plus reverb. Maybe there was a choir sample involved as well.

You can get fairly close to it if you're listening to the song, while creating the sound.

Here's the original sample that Yamaoka used in "Never Forgive Me, Never Forget Me":

You can find it in the Zero G library Altered States, but I don't remember which library it originates from.

I believe it's from Ambient 1 or Ambient 2.
