Russian Silent Hill fan movie

I was looking around on youtube the other day and I ran across this trailer for a silent hill fan movie. It's Russian but it's subbed in English.

It actually looked really interesting to me. I hope we see something of this all subbed if it's ever finished.

My initial viewing leads me to believe that this movie will be pretty freakin sweet. I'm not that into him using music from the game though; there's a world of good stuff he could've used for the soundtrack.

I was simply blown away by the art direction myself

Being a bit of a video guy myself you have to appreciate how amazing it looks! Let's hope it gets finished!

Not really too crazy about the comic-panels thing (although admittedly, one or two of the panned panels were executed well) and the scene with the guy walking in front of that Arc d'Triomphe-looking thing made me chuckle, because it's something you really wouldn't associate with Silent Hill (or just America, for that matter). I also wished that they filmed the guy's face in shadow because it would have blended in more seamlessly in the scenes where he was walking along the snowing alleys.

My favorite part is where his car is in front of that "wall" of falling snow. Pretty nice and unnerving concept.

Oh snap! This looks fairly decent for fan work, and being such a video freak, this could help me with criticing and....stuff, for my video production class. Hopefully we'll see it ♪fiiiiiiniiiished yeah♪!

The only other Silent Hill film I've seen is the "broken notes" that's a retelling of Silent Hill 2...I'm still waiting for their English dub!

Looks awesome. To be honest, at first I wasn't really impressed, but when I saw the transformation to the Otherworld, I was hooked. It looks really interesting and the final scene of the wall of falling snow is really creepy!

Yeah, i mean, the atmosphere, the graphics, the feeling, the solitude, the darkness, the SH dream alike state ... so good, never seen anything better. EVER, fan video media #1

Yes, it has something similar. But it's just the style of graphic novels and comics and yes, RIN is a talented guy and that teaser is made of pure awesomeness! Can't wait for the finished product.
