Silent Hill: Final redemption

Post by Walter10h »

It's flash Silent Hill game that I found not so long ago. It plays like those lameass cellphone games and uses very cheap scare tactics. Though you'd like to give it a shot maybe and see what you think of it.

Yeah, this game sucks. The monsters have nothing to do with Silent Hill, death comes without warning, there doesn't appear to be any way to save or any checkpoints, the scares are cheap, the puzzles suck...
Still, the photos used as the backgrounds are kind of cool, and this was a decent way to kill a few minutes, so thanks for pointing this game out. If nothing else, it's a good example of how not to make a game.

I know. Games like these are pretty much the reason people disregard flash games as bieng "not casual, nor hardcore just crap". Tho it was a good effort.

What?

That was pretty silly, though. Decent premise. Could have worked well had it not relied on internet memes to scare you.

I got to the safe but couldn't open it as I found no hints to its combination. Lame.

I did open it by pressing buttons entirely at random. Weird.

Spoiler: "Father Vincent" has nothing to do with Silent Hill 3.

^ Thanks, it worked for me too. I got to the part where Father Vincent's body left the bedroom then you can't do anything else to leave the room. You're stuck there. Lame.

I was able to leave the room, too.

At which point I was immediately ambushed by CREEPYPASTA and decided that it wasn't worth doing all that shit over again.

Obviously I'm failing as a game player. Didn't realize that was a rifle. So I killed CREEPYPASTA the first time. Then he pops up again and I "shoot" him again but doesn't die. Whatever.

It's a noble effort but seems to break many fundamental rules of proper game design.

EDIT: I just beat the game... by dying in front of a car... at one of those cheap-pop-up-scare-quick-time-events. What?

I created this same topic last week but no one answered, xd.
But I really liked the game, taking the parts of unnecessary scares

Yes it is but believe me, I heard a lot of people saying that stuff.
