I'm pretty sure there's a thread about this. And I'm not quite sure about what you're asking.

But there are Silent Hill graphic novels, and some novelizations, and they're all pretty good. I'm currently trying to find the Silent Hill 1 Novelization.

Anyways, if you're looking for good books like the SH games, read Phantom by Dean kootz. Though not a SH Novel, it has a very Silent Hill feeling to it. You could also read any stories by HP Lovecraft, my favorite one is Call of Cthulhu.

Sinners Reward and The Hunger from the Experience UMD are my favourites so far.

Much of the Silent Hill series has been novelized in Japanese.

Sinner's Reward is definitely worth the pickup. Cool art and story. I wish they were able to make it as long as they originally intended though.

I tried getting into Dying Inside but the first issue threw me off. Seemed like it was trying too hard and came off as absurd. A lot of unnecessary swearing. I'm all for appropriate swearing but I swear every second word was fuck.

Dunno about the other comics but after trying Dying Inside I was a bit put off.

It wasn't until Tom Waltz came onto the forum that used to be around that I considered giving it a chance. Well worth it.

I was going to start a topic to ask this question, but since this is like it, I'll just post it here. Can anyone recommend some novels with a similar feel or theme to Silent Hill?

The novels can still be purchased, but as others mentioned, you're out of luck reading them unless you know Japanese. There are some pretty nice original drawings included though, so if you've got the spare cash, why not?

Beyond that, some gorgeously illustrated digital comic books were released in Japan a few years ago that were supposed to be localized, but at this point it looks like it's never going to happen. It's worth looking them up (Cage of Cradle and Double Under Dusk), if only to see the scant few scans that were made available online.

Wish someone here could translate the novels for us.
