Different versions of "Promise"--help please.

Apparently there are a few. The one I have on my ipod says "Promise 3rd version"...it has guitar and some kind of bell-sounding synth. Its slightly off tempo (I think on purpose). I think it's the prettiest and saddest version.
I've heard the guitar version (I assume this is the original) and the Reprise. I wanted to link to the version I have, like on youtube or something, but I can't find it anywhere online...and it got me thinking where the heck I got my version. Does anyone know what it's officially called? It seems like it was actually IN the game, playing during some scene.

There are only two versions of Promise in the game -- the reprise (with Angela) and the ending theme, as you mentioned. What you have is likely a fan mix.

Huh. "Letters." It wasn't officially released, was it?

I was the first person to provide a version of it, too: The song is impossible to record directly from the game w/out the dialogue, so I had to assemble it by editing around James' soliloquy. I called it "Letters from Silent Heaven."

Yes that is the one! I knew it was in-game.
I think I got it off a site of collected in-game SH music (not on soundtracks)...quite a collection too. Wonder if I can find the link...

I remember another version of Promise that I had heard a long time ago. It took me a few minutes of searching to find it again though, because Youtube user pages don't work for me. So I couldn't just get to it from the uploader's page.
