I still love that man's targeting reticule. :)

Anyways, great artwork. I really can't think of a better style for a Silent Hill comic.

The artwork is fantastic. I just received the Batman: Arkham Asylum graphic novel this morning and the art feels very much of a piece with it.

Pregnant native blue people! That or big boobs. And going off the cover, that might be it...

I really can't say I'm liking the looks of the covers. They just don't fit the content at all.
The comic pages themselves are kind of cool, but where's the backgrounds?

Still, sure this will be an interesting read, regardless.

That would be her other leg. More specifically, the left thigh.

there are obviously tribal themes here...me likey!

the gun looks a little more modern than it should for that thar' wagon era, but it could just be the style of artwork that's throwing me off.
I'm sure it's some sort of rifle (?)
EDIT; now that I'm looking at it, it DOES appear to be some sort of muzzle loader.

the significance of the woman with the dagger eludes me. If they went off of real-life occult symbolism, she is supposed to be some sort of necromancer, I'd imagine, because the skull is at her communication chakra.

Now to keep my fingers crossed that none of that was flame bait *crosses fingers* :D

I used up my supply of flames earlier.

The way her chin and neck are, I think it's supposed to look like a skull under a hood. An optical illusion of sorts.

Yes, probably. It could be both, but I always put too much thought into that sort of thing.

The fact that the "<=Silent hill" sign is in English also gives us a good indication of the time frame, if the art work did not. (but it sort of did!)
This is somewhat disappointing to me if you want to go off of what I said in the "I want a game based on The Cult" thread, but rationale tells me that it's better this way. (It'd be too easy for the story line to turn into the natives being 'monsters-in-the-night' if it were about the original settlers getting there.)
Still, it is safe to assume that this is pre-The-Order-as-we-know-it, so those of us wishing to get our more-historical-fix will obviously be happy.
I also like the skull on the cover art. A death based native spirituality may be explored.
Hurray!
I'm really digging the 'monster' as well. Perhaps a priest dressed as an animal?
We'll have to wait and see!

Btw, thank you for this!!

Given that the headress is indicative of the plains Indians, it could relate to Jedadiah having taken part in an Indian massacre of some kind in his past out west. Maybe I'm reading too much into that detail, but it seems likely to me.

I love the Silent Hill Series. The Games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I Believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their Series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.
If you agree, add it to your sig.

^I suppose it's always a possibility, because they seem to be going with the reincarnation aspect.

Either it's a reincarnation, a ghost, or a really weird coincidence. It's not like any of those haven't occurred previously in the series.

Well. I hope that's wrong because it would REALLY suck to have the link revealed so early in production. I mean.. Could they be so careless? I was hoping this would be a "Read and find out who makes an appearance in the game."

Yeah...i made the connection as soon as i saw the images....not really sure if the guy is indeed a ghost or if there might be a symbolic connection as in the past is destined to repeat itself, or something along those lines...

They could have an ancestor/descendant relationship, now that I think about. Maybe the Archibold family has been in SH longer than we thought.
