Purchased.

Finally, SH1 and the actual soundtrack for The Room. Plus Origins. Terrible game, great soundtrack.

I wonder why it's so pricey at some shops.
Play-Asia and a few more are offering this at +200 USD, while CDJapan is 170 USD, which apparently is the exact amount of the 14,000 Yen converted to dollars.

Calamity wrote:It's a bit too pricey for me for what is there (hell there's a Castlevania boxset that I want that is 16 disks and $200.00, that I could justify spending cause that's 16 disks of music :P). $180 for half of that amount of disks is just a bit too much. If they were the full soundtracks I'd contemplate it, but if it's just the stuff they already released, with tracks missing I'd have to give this a miss and just stick to the gamerips.

Neat for a collector's item though.
I'm with you on that.
I'd buy both of them. But if I had to choose one, I'd go with the Castlevania one first. Mostly for the bargain of more disks, and also because I have all the Silent Hill soundtracks plus game rips already. Well virtual copies anyway. >_>

Here's a picture if anyone wants to have a look see.

I guess it depends upon where you are, but Amazon JP was substantially cheaper for me, even with shipping. :)

Gah, that boxset looks awesome, but I can't justify spending all that money on it :( I got lucky one day and found the Silent Hill 1, 4 and 0rigins soundtracks in a local shop for £8 each!
My supply fell through...

That last disc sure looks yummy on content. Most likely the Your Rain (Reprise) is the song played when Cynthia dies.
Didn't one interview with Joe Romersa talked about a version of Rain of Brass Petals that wasn't released at the time? I wonder if the one included here is the track the interviewer was talking about. The new mix for Alex Theme is great! IMO, an improvement on the original.
Too bad they didn't include Caramel Mix, Usagi or the other forgotten songs from the DVDs.

>here's also the tracklist<
"All Screwed Up" was released as "Life" on the four-song Silent Hill 3 promo soundtrack. "Breeze ~ In Monochrome Night," "Heads No.1" and a vocal track, probably "Letter ~ From the Lost Days" were the other songs.

"Silent Hill (estudio)" is the piano version of "Silent Hill" from the first game. It was released as a gift in the official Silent Hill 3 Web site.

I believe the unreleased Silent Hill 2 track, "KO," is from something called The Robbie Discs, or something—a four-song disc of super-techno, almost-remixes.

The rest of the eighth disc, however, looks enticing, especially the complete version of "Lost Carol" and the in-game version of "Innocent Moon."

>Most likely the Your Rain (Reprise) is the song played when Cynthia dies.<
"Room of Angel" is played when Cynthia dies. "Your Rain (reprise)" is undoubtedly the remixed version of the song in-game, beneath Joseph's speech from the ceiling.

Don't forget there will be also a new dvd, so they could be included there :D

I think you are talking about the Robbie Tracks CD, but they were from silent hill 4 (I had never heard something like KO before, not even from the CSTs)

I haven't played SH4 in a long time, but If I remember correctly, the song played during that scene was Tender Sugar.

>I think you are talking about the Robbie Tracks CD<
I am. I barely remember the content—after downloading and skipping through it, I immediately trashed it—except that the tracks were unlistenable.

>I had never heard something like KO before, not even from the CSTs<
That's because the CSTs include music from the games, and this is clearly not from the game.

>I haven't played SH4 in a long time, but If I remember correctly, the song played during that scene was Tender Sugar.<
You're right. "Your Rain (Reprise)" is probably just another remix, regardless.

Yup, just checked. The Reprise version is played at the Good endings, when Henry is at the hospital with Eileen.

It looks better than I thought! (I thought they were going to put the discs into a huge cardboard sleeve like the euro OSTs)
