Im almost positive Sh2 was already 60FPS. Also i don't understand how you made 5.1SS. All music was sequenced besides 2 or 3 in the PS2 version.
I'm sorry but you're totally wrong
. All Silent Hill games run at 30FPS (2,3,4,origins,homecoming,shattered memories and downpour) except for Silent Hills (P.T.), which runs at 60fps, and Silent Hill 1, which runs at 20fps in gameplay and at 60fps in the inventory menu and the map.
Yep, the songs are sequenced and in stereo, but you can use 3D sound virtualization techniques to archive some good results. Besides, the game itself already uses Sony's S-Force sound virtualization technology, which is basically the same thing (also, the XBOX and PC ports use an improved version of this technology, that allows to obtain 5.1 and 7.1 from stereo sources).MORE INFO ABOUT SONY S-FORCE: http://hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php?showthread=36833
Moreover, most of the cutscene voices are separated from the music, so you can put them in the centre channel and play a bit with the sound effects on the rear channels.
AND BY THE WAY...!
If you don't like the remastered 5.1 thing, you can always download the original video on the link above, and then choose the original stereo mix from the mkv audio files.
