Bridge of Thread (Silent Hill fan made comic)
Not sure where to post this but:
I've been searching for it around this site, but haven't found it and am dying to read it.
There's a fan made comic that's mostly 3D and it's about a gay guy. he's stuck in silent hill following who he thinks to be his lover who was murdered.
If anyone can provide me the link, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

It is such a great comic and it's still ongoing. Here's the website

Thanks, I was looking for that as well. I found it last night, and (stupidly!) didn't bookmark it.Amazonagent wrote:It is such a great comic and it's still ongoing. Here's the website

What a great comic! I've seen a lot of fan stories and comics, but this is the first original story that really has the feel of the game!
Gotta admit, though, I spent a lot of time going back and forward, trying to establish who was the girl before I figured it out... Just not used to gays combined with SH. This has to be the first I've seen. Very impressive!

You'll be missed. You were missed. I am missing you.

excellent
I didn't think I was going to like it at first, because the CG art reminded me of "Bob the Ball" (newgrounds.com), but after reading it, it became apparent that this was an excellent story.
I can't wait until it's finished, I like it much better than the garbage that IDW publishing released.

engaging storytelling... one nitpick I have is that I find the characters very creepy when they smile... *shiver*
I wonder if the creators used Barbie's boyfriend Ken as a model for the dead boyfriend? ... The protagonist kinda looked like a brownhaired version of James... heh, maybe he'll encounter a lookalike of his boyfriend, a male version of Maria. LOL.
having tried my hand at 3d modelling before, I really applaud their efforts. I just wish they also hadn't used that font for the dialogue balloons though...

Re: Bridge of Thread (Silent Hill fan made comic)
Has everyone been keeping up with this? The author, Chaobell(?) has been adding new pages until about 18 months ago. I hope this doesn't mean it's over.
If he/she is reading this, please continue! I am enjoying it more than any of the other SH comics (Past Life aside) as it more accurately captures the lonliness and artistic 'feel' of the games. Great stuff.
