The second body on the Siam monster... its face looks like Dahlia. :O

If those are actual realtime screenshots... Holy fucking shit, they are gorgeous even by today's standards.

I'm even more excited that they've decided to revamp the combat system. Just as the EGM article said, the previous titles were way too stagnant and boring.

Good, I was upset about the Leipzig fiasco, but now I'm happy.

It's looking fan-fucking-tastic. Love the article and the pictures. There a few things that worry me but overall it is looking tasty. Also, thanks for making a SH5 section mods.

A theory on Siam.

Just a thought, Siam was originally what is now Thailand. The word Thai means freedom. The monster contradicts itself with a bondage motif and the appearance of melding of flesh.

Oh my that looks lovely. Jesus, that puppet-thing in the bottom-left of page eight looks scary. It's things like these that make me want to smoke

Guess I'll have to start saving for a new console then.

I don't think ANY of those screenshots are REAL-TIME.... just concept photos.

I am much happier about all that i have read...

I hope there will be a PC version though....

Those are running on the Havok engine, they ARE realtime. Only conceptual thing is the fleshy mass and Alex facing us, MAYBE the Siam.

The HAVOK engine only has to do with the PHYSICS in the game, not the graphics. It's been used in many PC games...

We'll just have to wait and see until they release official screenshots. I wouldn't doubt them being ingame screenshots, since current gen titles can look that photorealistic.

Ok, I stand corrected. I assumed it handled models and the like aswell.

Regardless, the renders on those screenshots are running off the PS3 presumably which is more than capable of that look given the amount of effort put into it. Companies dont usually bother with rendered concept art anymore, they usually go for a working model. Which that in turn is improved upon for use in the game. It takes too long to do by company cost standards, the only thing its good for is just to be showy. Also I thought developers were moving away from art renders due to picky consumers thinking what they see in the mag/online is what they will get onscreen.

Where does it say that? For all we know, we could be looking at the 360 port.

But they started working on the PS3 version first because originally it was PS3 exclusive from what I heard. I would venture to say the one that got the most attention would be more complete and shown first.

And here, you forgot this......

actually, they never mentioned one console being exclusive. the first time we got word about a release, both consoles were mentioned. those could be PS3 screens or 360. either way, i'd expect both versions of the game to look identical.

Akira was talking about this 'fear in daylight' long time ago so what we see now is probably the result of it. Can't say I'm happy from it cuz I, from the other hand, enjoyed more creepy darkness and very short draw distance in the 1st three installments, even though I knew it was more like consoles hardware limitations, but it did great for the whole fear factor. Now there is not only everything visible, but also sun glows like crazy everywhere there. Now how can that be scary :| Bring on the Darnkess dammit
