Gotta agree with Caine there. Homecoming was pretty shite. So bad, in fact, that it's the only SH I've not completed (I got about 75% of the way through it and I've read up on what happens).

Funny. I didn't like the movie, I love the games, and I liked Homecoming a lot. Where does that leave me?

As an exception, of course.

Homecoming was the first Silent Hill game I played and I love it to bits. It actually really spoke to me on the theme of brothers and family so it will probably be my favorite, although I wont know until I beat the others hahaha.

Might be a silly attempt on my part, but these were my first impressions of Homecoming. I tried to keep them in chronological order, been a while since I played though.
"Hmmm...the Otherworld transition looks a lot like the movie. That sucks." "Hey! It's a movie nurse!" "Sweeeet...Robbie reference....." "Damnit, Josh." "Which button does that? I'm starting to hate these controls." "Damnit, Josh." "Hmmm. Baldy's hawt." "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!?!?!" "I FUCKING HATE THE NEW PATIENTS!!!!" "Damnit, Josh." "THIS BOSS SUCKS!" "Fuck, I suck at this game." "Is that guy going to die?" "DAMNIT, Josh." "THAT'S the plot device? Seriously?" "DAMNIT, JOSH!" "I'm just gonna go play 2 for a while."
Yeah.... It's not that I hated the game or anything, it just took a long time for me to make peace with it. Sometimes, I hate no clue why I'm here. I hardly ever game, and I'm too picky about the things in a game I like.
I kinda liked the idea of the cult (Oh, yeah, forgot I was in a non-spoiler thread. Oopsie.) There was an aspect of it that I liked, but it was executed poorly. Shit happens.

Oh my gosh, I was so excited when I finally got it installed on my laptop, and then I started playing it and realized I shouldn't alone. I never really thought that the games were as terryfing as my friends thought. But Homecoming had me screaming like a little girl. . . and I've only played about thirty minutes of it and not even out of the first stage yet....yeah i suck. but this game sure doesn't!

I keep trying to re-play it but I always find myself turning it off as soon as I get to Shepherd's Glenn.... I do want to finish this game again but it's just not that good! I find myself playing Shattered Memories a lot more than I play this one.

Shepherd's Glenn's design is awesome + the graphics is great. Features from the movie were alright. However, the HOLLYWOOD atmosphere and plot suck! Although the game is a copycat, it is also very complex.
