It's total fan service, and personally, I think it looks pretty neat. However, I don't think it affects the gameplay or enemies around you in any way.

Haha i love that thing its so funny but when you get the alien ending you get a sweet lazer gun its like the best weapon :mrgreen:

It would of been far better if you run about as the PH model, rather than just wear the helmet.

Yep. No costume in SH:H has any effect on gameplay as far as I'm aware.

Oh, it does? Cool. That's kind of useful.

If it does frighten off Order members, it does it as a joke function. Like other monsters running away when you have the Great Knife with the lights/radio off in dark places in SH2.

I, however, don't know if it actually frightens Order members. Anyone want to confirm this?

The Young Alex costume makes a funny effect where your flashlight sticks to you and all wrist restraints magically restrict you without it even touching you. lol :mrgreen:
