Dunno if this goes here, or in another thread like the hidden stuff/memos etc.

I was clearing out my closet and found my copy of To Kill A Mockingbird. I get bored really often, so I cracked it open.

Near the end of the book, Heck Tate says (in a nutshell), "He was drunk, tripped over a tree root and fell on the knife."

Doesn't Alex say something similar when talking to Wheeler after
Bartlett's death and the fight with Sepulcher?
Was this intentional or just a coincedence?

I don't think he says exactly that, but it'll be interesting to see if someone else can make this out. :D

I don't remember that, but it would make sense, considering they were in a garden. Was it an option in one of the interactive cutscenes? Maybe that's how I missed it.

Yes. When you're trying to convince Wheeler, one of the options was 'It was an accident' or something along the lines of that. I haven't played the game in a while.

When you select "It was an accident", Alex said:
He was drunk. He must have tripped on a tree root and impaled himself or something. That's the only way to explain it.
Kind of a lame excuse for an accident, don't you think? "Oh he was drunk.. and.. tripped... and.... IMPALED himself. >3>"
