Yes, I've tried the button confirmation up, up, down. down. left, right, left, right, B, but it hasn't worked for me. Do I have to beat the game first in able to do so?

Nope, just do the konami code on the title screen I believe.

Which indeed is Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B.

There must be something wrong with your game then. Input the code in the "Press Start" screen and voila it's done, don't know why you're having trouble. . . Again, must be a problem with your game.

Are you using the PC version, by any chance? Did you hear the sound of a page turning while doing it? Remember to input it only once

I have the X360 version, too. That never happened to me. Does your CD have, you know, scratches and such?

^ No. But it was used. Are you sure that I don't have to beat the game first?

I knew I was missing something. . . Yeah, that might be the problem, you was right. Beat the game to unlock the costume.

I don't play this game for like a month, apologies.

How fast are you inputting the code?

^I don't want to sound rude (esp. with you) but does it really matter? Besides, it was already covered. You must finish the game first to unlock the Young Alex costume.

Im pretty sure that you do not have to complete the game to get the costume. But anyway, I read online that one of the factors is how fast you input in the code. So try putting it in faster and see if you get any results.

If not, then I would try installing the game to your harddrive and see if that makes a difference. Overwise I guess you would need to complete the game once to unlock it.

I tried and tried on the PS3 version, and it didn't work, so I gave up.

But after beating the game, I tried again, and it worked on the first try. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure you have to beat it first.

Yeah you do have to complete to story first, just Googled around now and many people who were asking about it were saying that it only worked after completion, and I kinda recall myself it didn't work beforehand when I used to play it before I sold it.
