This game, Easy?

I thought it was really easy! It was the first time I got through a Silent Hill game without having to look at a walk walk through! The only part I had trouble with was the Scarlett fight.

This game is really easy once you realize you have a dodge button. I finished the game with 15 health drinks, 10 FAK, 9 serums and full ammo(actually, my handgun was full from the Grand Hotel til the end). That's the failure from Homecoming: as a game with a lot of exploration and wicked puzzles, it's simple and easy. As an action game, it's simple and easy. It falls in nowhere land(kukuku, what a joke...).

Like I said in the other thread, I'm playing the game with a friend, so we take turns. Funny thing is that I already played the game with ANOTHER friend but I'm not telling my actual friend I did cause he thinks it is our first playthrough, so most of the time I'm all like "We should dodge this kinds of enemys like this... right?" and stuff like that so the game gets pretty easy.

For example, on my first playthrough I reached the Scarlet level with 1 seruum and a few bullets and spent almost 1 entire hour trying to kill her. On my 2nd playthrough (with my other friend) I killed her on the second attemp and he thought it was easy as hell since we didn't take turns there and I was the one who took her down.

Schisms rank right above Carrions as the most difficult non-boss enemy in the series. No matter what melee weapon I use they still frustrate me.
I am always concerned with health items in game since I like offense more.
Use up all your ammo and all hdrinks when facing the schisms.
The difficulty of this game made it somehow a real survival horror.

I've tried. The PS3 version's controls suck ass and no matter how much I play, dodging rarely works: Alex is either too early or too late.

Especially true with Schisms.
I didn't want to use up all of my health drinks when facing them for the first time.
I feel for the new palyers to this series starting out with this game.

Can you think of any other enemy in the series more difficult than the Schisms?

^ i only use the shotgun on Siam

against Schism, i use the knife/ceremonial dagger. this game does become pretty simple once you learn the attack patterns; figuring out how to use the dodge option helps as well. it's kind of what irritates me when people complain about Homecoming being too combat oriented. it's not like you're forced to fight every monster. you can easily dodge, and then run away from pretty much all the monsters.

Schisms suck!
Most difficult enemy in the series for me.

Use health drinks wisely. Strategize so you will have enough to get through them when facing them for the first time.

Bob and Weave.

Did anyone else make Alex dance with the dodge move?

the good thing about siams is that when you hit them they become stunned. giving alex a chance to flee or recuperate

Haha Silent Hill Homecoming is a game that I would probably not buy, because I've already watched the entire game played by someone else. I'm bad at shooter games so when I heard about this game I was like "uh oh." I had always shown the Silent Hill games to my friends but I would be so horrible at this that they wouldn't get to see much of it because I would keep dying!
