Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
So exactly what part is it? I know the church is there, but it is a religous town so there may be many churches. Is it a unexplored part?
I love the Silent Hill Series. The Games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I Believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their Series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.

I don't even know what you are asking about. Are you talking about Homecoming's version of Silent Hill or Shepard's Glen?
The church isn't even mentioned on here, but most of the town is not noted, just the places Alex enters. Are you asking why we don't explore any more then what is in-game, or...?

I know that we get to explore Sagan St. in Homecoming and Alchemilla Hospital. Sagan St. was in SH1 as well in 0rigins. And Alchemilla was in both of these games.
So the place of Alex's journey is somewhere between the area of these 2 games and an unknown area - probably the ones with those huge cliffs.

Re: Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
I took a look at the maps on the main site of each of the games a couple months back to do a few comparisons and noticed that the area of SH explored in Homecoming is part of an area explored in 1, but there are some changes in the map design. So it's a mixture between new and old areas.
Bitch, don't kill my vibe.
Re: Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
The part we get to wander is the eastern end of the Business District, which has a previously unseen river that cuts through areas explored in SH1, as well as a prison.
Y'know, right where a prison should be, in the middle of the shopping district.

^ It's quite possible that the prison isn't really in that location...or the developers didn't know what they were doing. I'll let you choose whichever answer is better for you. lol
Re: Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
^ I'll take the third option: The town authorities did it on purpose to make the shopping experience more "exciting."
Re: Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
I'll take the fourth option, they had a serious shoplifting problem and the prison was there to intimidate any potential thief.

I believe that its the south western part of the town Alex visits in homecing.
Right below where Harry ends up in the first game.

Re: Question about the town of Silent Hill in Homecoming.
This is the part of Silent Hill we visit in Homecoming:
Silent Hill 1
Homecoming
Just posting for comparison's sake. You also visit the Grand Hotel in Silent Hill which is on Simmons Street. I'm assuming that it's further north past the Green Lion Antique Shop since you can't see the Silent Hill Town Center on the outside of Grand Hotel map.
Edit: Did anybody notice that Sandford Street changed between Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 2? In the first game, it was straight, yet in part two it curves (look at the top).

^Better not spout off that nonsense. The first three games are perfect and don't have a single fault. Don't you know?
I once was lost, but am now profound.

Except we don't see the same ends of Sandford Street in the first two games.
