Comparison of SH Inspiration Movies to SH:Homecoming

I know the title is a little confusing but I am not good at expressing myself.

OK I know this might be very appernt to some people, But I was hoping to discuss the influences of this game. Such as Jacob's ladder is an obvious one. If you compare the ending to Jacob's Ladder to the beginning to Homecoming you are like Yes. But what are some of the others? Another direct influence could be session 9. I know there are some literary influences and movie references and I'd like to just take some time to talk about it.

It mainly borrows from the movie Silent Hill.

Mostly from the movie. and I'm going to guess that the next movie is going to borrow heavly from the new game. I reckon they we come out around the same time.

Yet Homecoming was an actual great game considering it borrowed from the movie.

^^ To be honest the movie had some pretty good ideas. I'm not sure what I perfer though, main character waking up/discovering the hell world or it happening around you. I know one thing though... I hate the mirror idea in Origins!
