Lillian and the basement

Post by SHF »

I can't figure out something.
There are wet foot prints from the basement to where Lillian is sitting. ( obviously hers)
So this means the basement is really flooded, not a manifestation. ( also there is a note that indicates that Adam needs to call Curtis about fixing the engine, assuming it's the water pump engine.)

Did Lillian see the Lurker down there?
Is that why she has the gun, or was she contemplating suicide?

It's quite unclear what happened here.....

It's old, broken and belonged to Adam, so I'd say she was contemplating suicide out of loneliness.

How do you know it's old and broken? If Lillian knew this was true, she wouldn't have the gun at all since you can't commit suicide with a broken gun

It says so when you examine the damn thing. Lilian is completely bonkers and probably doesn't care if the gun works or not, she's not in touch with reality due to her catatonia.

Yes, yes, and yes. And protip: Manifestations in the Otherworld are physically tangible, which is why monsters can hurt you. Manifested water still makes you wet, boy.

Exactly. And don't forget the fact that you exchange the broken gun for a new one when you visit Curtis.

SHF, or should I say, helldescent, many of your questions are fucking obvious. I have a hard time believing that you played some (if any) of the games. . .

I do have most of the games:

There are just some things that I don't understand or get, and there are other things that I do.
I'm not trying to come off as dumb, I mean I take notes and stuff, and I can post up pictures of my notes too so you guys don't think I am bullshitting.

First of all, here's the same topic where you can find your answers: http://silenthillforum.com/viewtopic.ph ... t=basement

Secondly, you don't have to prove anything to others here. You don't need to put photos of your games or notes that you've been keeping. In fact, you mentioned that a dozen of times. The thing is, it's really irrelevant. And it's OK if you have some questions to make, I'm sure that all of the members here are ready to help you. However, you should consider checking all of the topics that you're interested in through the forum, and I'm sure you'll find your answers.. if not, you can post there too. :)
