"Miriam K.- Traitor"
I did a search, and found nothing.
Did anyone ever find out what the hell this means?

Maybe it was a reference to Walter's victim that he chopped up.

It doesn't logically fit that a girl with a surname starting with L would have any connexion to a woman with the assumed surname initial of K. Furthermore, why wouldn't Billy's grave be there?

As far as I know johnny, no one knows what it means.

I doubt it has any real significance, either.

it was in lost memories or something, it was a person who worked on the game but quit before it was finished. thus --> traitor.

i think there was also a theory floating around that it was just another form of mary's name.

But isn't that also irrelevant? Mary had a K nowhere in her name...

This isn't directed at you, since you're just the messenger of theories and that's fine, but I really wish SH fans wouldn't try to pick apart every tiny little thing they can find in the games..

i think the theory was that, like "maria," "miriam" is a name related to the name "mary." so the "k" is irrelevent.

personally, i think it's probably just a name they slapped on the tombstone for little or no reason.

You're probably right. It probably doesn't have any real significance.
Still, though... it just feels wierd. Especially in a game where so many seemingly insignificant details have deep meanings behind them. I guess that it's just one of those things that has always really nagged at me.... If it was really so insignificant, why would the tombstone be examinable?

Oh, well. I had to ask. Thanks for the responses, anyways.

On the bright side, they could always elaborate on it in a future SH game.

Do the hung criminals (in the puzzle before fighting Eddie) have some kind of meaning? Because the first thing my mind jumps to is "meaningless 'scary' decoration". ;p

It's there to show you that, historically, Silent Hill used to kill innocent people as well. You're supposed to find the one that's not a criminal afterall.

On a smaller scale, one of the 'criminals' has a metaphorical relationship with James' character.

Does anyone have the Japanese script of the name?

By japanese syllables, it could be:

Mary M. Kay

depending on how you want to translate it...

For the lazy peoples...

"Miriam K - "traitor". We find her grave in the cemetary next to Walter
Sullivan's grave. Does the name remind you of someone. Of course, it's not a
coincidence.
Miriam KAY is a derivation of Miriam LoKAYne - the name of Walter's eighth
victim ("Judgement" Tarot card). She probably betrayed her brother somehow.
Obviously, the gravestone is just a hallucination, which was only a part of
James' world. Or was it? James could see other people's worlds too, so maybe
he saw Walter's world. Walter, being on bad terms with grammar, could have
written "LoKAYne"
"
