After reading a lot of topics it appears no one brings this up.
The knife that she gives James is strongly suggested to be the knife that killed her father but after all this time why are the red marks still on it? Could it also be her blood?
Interesting.
Probably. But I don't think that much blood comes out when people cut themselves. Well maybe, I don't know. I haven't examined her arms so I haven't seen anything. But maybe she cuts her legs or something, I know females usually do that there.

Aww, poor Angela!
I hope she doesn't do it. :(

She wears a long sleeved top, so it's kinda hard to tell.

But ingeneral I don't think so, I just think the knife is the one she killed her father with and represents her suicidal thoughts, as evidenced by the knife's place in the "In Water" ending requirements.

It's possible. I always got the impression that she might've; especially since her first choice of suicide was using the knife. It would've made more sense to walk into the fire before even considering the knife; or even jumping out of a window or hanging herself. But she chose the knife and she seemed intent on using it. Blue Creek is the first instance and then Lakeview, where she asks for it back.
Obviously she has no chance to actually use it and walks
into the fire.
Walking into the fire with suicide in mind is a pretty definite way to off yourself; the knife might not neccessarily kill her. She could just pass out and then wake up weak from blood loss. It's a lot easier to hit a vein correctly if you know what you're doing. I think Angela probably had a good idea of what to do.

I don't think Angela literally
walked into fire and burned to death.
I think it was a metaphor. Like a sort of biblical ascension, such as Elijah.

Her choice in clothing definitely brings to mind someone trying to hide scars, but I don't see anything significant hinting that she cuts herself.

Sure, why not. The girl is pretty fucked up as it is.

She could be hiding it under that beautiful, stylish sweater of hers or with those brown, corduroy jeans.

or maybe she cuts her ass. I've heard of girls doing that.

Or maybe she buys clove cigarettes for the express purpose of burning herself. There's nothing that suggests she doesn't. It's also possible that she shoots heroin into her eyeballs. Let's assume she does that. :P

i'd never waste a clove burning myself.

anyway, yeah, it might be implied, but there's no concrete evidence to support it. pretty sure it's supposed to be ambiguous. come to your own conclusions.

C'mon what you think that red stain in the knife is? Those candy juices from strawberrys? It's really blood. It's Angela's blood IMO. It couldn't be her father's blood, I can't believe that these long time stains don't "vanish" in time. It's defitely hers.

According to MMY's research, Thomas Orosco was killed the night before the events of SH2.

It's Orosco blood, either hers or her father's. Let's leave it at that; maybe it's even both.

Maybe... but I think it´s her father´s blood.

Because if she was thinking to put an end to her life, she would have absolutely killed herself at the first try, that´s something serious and painful.

It totally depends how deep, some more scratchy cutting won't get much blood, but some people have to go to the hospital for blood loss for the deepness.

Either way, it's hard to tell since she wears a long sleeved shirt and long pants, but I always kind of got the impression that she did.

That had better be a joke because I have known people to cut themselves everywhere else (even genitals) except there.

Also I always figured the reason that Angela gave away the knife is so she may stop hurting herself.

I think it's entirely likely that she could cut herself. But as already stated, she gives the knife away so perhaps she's done with it.

Regardless of the timeline, whether Thomas Orosco met his fate two hours or two years before we meet Angela, this is Silent Hill so it seems perfectly possible for her fathers blood to still be there as a constant reminder of what she did.
