What I'm referring to are the eight occultic books found in the south cell section of toluca prison.
( i believe the reader of these books was the invisible monster occupying this region, possibly the c-221 prisoner)

The books that I couldn't really find any information on was The Manuscript of the Iron Rings, The Feast of the Succubi, Resurrection of the Dead, Fallen Angels of Mercy and Favor, and Black Magic From the Abyss.

For the Tome of the Seer, it has made an appearance in both silent hill 2 and 3.
Here is what I found out about it
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictiona ... 1297226614

Here is a link for Sacrifice and the Art of Demon Summoning:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/9212625/the-a ... ing-demons

Chronicles of Agrippa:
http://www.esoteric.msu.edu/REL275/Agrippa.html

Interesting right?

Why is the first link a dictionary entry for the word "Seer"?

This isn't a link to a real text. It's some person's fictional writing posted on a blog.

I think the point of these books were to make us think that James just entered a satanist's cell.
Further than that...

Dammit. Have you found anything on any of these books?

Well, technically speaking, it's some guy's personal methods for demon summoning in his Satanic faith. Either way it's not the actual text in SH2.

So has anyone found anything on these books?
And is the Agrippa link fictional, or accurate?

The Agrippa mentioned in the book that is found inside the cell is Cornelius Agrippa. His life was full of occult related things.

In my opinion, this book from him may be real.

That's pretty interesting.
Too bad nothing else can be found on the other books....
Although, I'm sure a few of them are entirely made up, just for silent hill 2.

Thanks Mephisto.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa is most known for his Three Books of Occult Philosophy. I have a copy of it. He was, more or less, the father of occult philosophy, and the texts are widely venerated as the most significant works of occult philosophy.

So then do you think that those 8 books from Toluca Prison are making a reference to him?
I'm assuming they would be....

No more fictional than any other occult writing, atleast.

The books share one reason to use them - erotic personal power and influence, practice and master.
