Re: Silent Hill 2 Versions
I want to get all the versions. SH2 is my favorite game and it would be awesome. Thanks for sharing, btw.

Re: Silent Hill 2 Versions
No problem. Here's my two cents:
I personally like Silent Hill 2: Saigo no Uta's (Japan - PS2) box design the best. It has a reflective, trippy effect to it.
Silent Hill 2: Saigo no Uta (Japan - Xbox) may be hard to find because the Xbox was very un-popular in Japan so there aren't that many copies of it still being sold, new or used.
Silent Hill 2 2-Disc Collector's Edition (Europe - PS2) is hard to find for a couple of reasons: a) It's case is cardboard so a lot of used copies are worn pretty bad along the edges and b) there are four collectible stickers, one per game, so there's the stickers to collect, also.
Finding Silent Hill 2 (North America - PC) new or with the box is also hard. Most sell just the discs these days.

Re: Silent Hill 2 Versions
Guess what, I ordered Silent Hill 2 Director's Cut version for PC but I got that NA version instead of this DC, here in Finland. It came with the original cardboard box, manual and of course, with three CD's and it was new and sealed. The netstore was a finnish "Gamelife.fi" and it's been closed for some time.Ratiocinator wrote:Finding Silent Hill 2 (North America - PC) new or with the box is also hard. But still, I'm surprised that an official finnish netstore sold this "yellow" NA version of the SH2 as a BRAND new, and they've got a picture of Director's Cut in their website back then. They kind of lied and I got a "wrong" game, but I'm satisfied with it... I mean more than satisfied, beacuse it's a rare!
In the very end, this is so awesome to own this version of Silent Hill 2 as a brand new. It's just a very nice and precious addition in my SH collection!
EDIT: I took pictures of it:

Re: Silent Hill 2 Versions
It is really hard to find a copy of it in the US, Restless Dreams or otherwise. A used copy of the regular ps2 version is actually more expensive than RD on XBox. Also of note is that playing SH2 on a 360 is a horrible experience. Missing textures, James' flashlight shining through his back, and freezing problems are all game breaking.
