Undiscovered (?)Television Review

Post by DirtyNorris »

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with BBC Scotland's Videogaiden/Consolvania? Anyway, the former reviewed Silent Hill 2 a few years back and, to date, only 723 people are aware of it. It lathers the game in praise, so if you feel like sitting back and wallowing in achievements you had no part in, this is the video for you.

Oh, and...
I feel a traitor to my kind saying this but...(sigh) I do have to warn you it's read out in a fairy strong Scottish accent.
Don't understand it? Happy to provide a transcript.
Any snarky comments? Happy to gorge on your intestines.

Really good review, though the video was "wiggling" a whole lot, don't know if it was my internet browser, youtube, or just the video. But good review anyway. Why was he dressed up like that? I think he was supposed to look like one of the nurses, but I'm not sure, because of the pink wig.

Anyway, always like a good review ('specially for SH games).

Also, love the accent. I think that Scottish men have sexy accents.

Damn. Funny and hot. I wish I would've found this, myself.

Sup with the wig, though?
Either way, it's a very nice little overview and humorous display. :D

This was a fun review to watch! I really liked how he described the favorable aspects of the game. As for the pink wig - well, I don't know. But it was funny. :P

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and join the confusion over the pink wig. :? And Scottish SH fans are great! Thanks for posting this.

Oh, and from the same show; two ridiculously awful sketches starring "Mr Pyramid Head".
Pyramid Head, Saturday night, BBC1. Magic.

Did anyone noticed that the gameplay parts of the review are different? The bigger amount of monstrers, nurses during the day, Pyramid Head being more present (in the streets, in the hospital). Why? Is it a different version? :?:

It was probably an early version. Developers have a habit of changing things before it's all finished and shipped off for us to enjoy/criticise.

I love the Silent Hill Series. The games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.

If you agree, add it to your sig.

TN, im used to people talking slower than in other places.lol ( and its not as country as people generalize it to be. and im not even origionally from here. lol) So people talking fast takes me a second or 2 to take in. XD good review though. didnt find it funny honestly, but good.

Found a review of Silent Hill 0rigins from the same show. If you found the first one bizarre, then this one will be incomprehensible. Make of it what you will.

Definitely worth a watch, thankfully, being English and having a lot of Scottish relatives (Motherwell) I got the references and understood the accent. It was really quite funny, but doesn't tell you much about the game at all.
