Wow! I bet he could well of been drunk, he would have to of been in a warped state of mind to do such a thing.

He still could have been drunk as well. I don't really see how, if he really loved her, he could even consider of being a burden in the loosest of terms.

That would explain why James doesn't remember the incident, he might've been drunk.

He didn't necessarily have to be drunk to do that. If he was, he probably would have stumbled and fallen forward when he went to kiss her. Although there are pensive, philosophical drunks.

Not everyone that drinks is a) a raving alcoholic, and b) stumbles around aimlessly.

I think it's entirely possible that he'd been drinking before he killed her.

Maybe he was drank a lot after he killed her and he was drunk during the events of silent hill. Or he was drunk in the "in water" ending

it would seem strange to see poor James as an intoxicated drunk wondering the streets at night. Well that's not the only thing he keeps covered up now is it?

He might not have been drunk when he killed her but it would explain quite a bit cause he couldnt remember what he did but some people are able to block out horrible things theyv done or thats happend but its a pretty good chance he was drunk

When James

killed his wife
he didn't need to be drunk at the moment to not remember. he could just gotten hammered afterwards to not remember. Then the habit could have stuck.

I like this little snippet they give. Whether it means anything storyline wise (as in, what he did or didn't do while he was or wasn't drunk), it still gives an interesting insight into his character.

I'll have to check it out next run, I've never noticed that.
