What does View Mode (in Extra Options) mean?
I was recommended to go to Extra Options (go to Options and tap R1) and changing View Mode to "Switch" for my 10 star run. Does anyone know what this does? I lost 1 hour of progress on this game so I'm reluctant to do something new that I don't know what it does.

I assume the alternative to "switch" would be "hold" ? I' d pick switch. Meaning one press of the camera button will switch between first and third person, as opposed to having to hold the button down to remain in first person.

Wait, there is an option to play SH2 in first person mode?

I think I found a conversation about it at GameFAQs. They're talking about SH1 but it sounds like it's the same thing.
Sounds like it will make the view be fixed in the aim mode, from right behind your shoulder. You would be able to see enemies in front of you better, but the view would be more limited. And if Patman is right, then you could still switch to the regular view by hitting the aim button.

It seems like something you could easily change and try out mid-game.
